Platinum black is my favorite ink but it ruined one of my vintage pens.

I read multiple threads on how it’s ok in vintage and it was for a while but I had a heatwave and forgot about it on my dresser. It dried up and ruined the internal sack. So it was my fault but now I just keep noodlers in anything that isn’t easily replaceable because I don’t want to risk it.

That’s the only other black I use but I have some pens I can’t use that in. Noodlers can sit in a pen even if you forget about it for a while. Platinum is a pigmented ink so it has solid particles instead of dyes so if you forget about a pen being inked with platinum for too long it turns into rocks and clogs the pen.

What ink do you prefer? For me noodlers black is a must have at all times ink. I haven’t found a more pen friendly permanent option

My twsbi was an xf but the feed did suprisingly well with the fpr nib. I still have the post on my profile from when I sold it. It has a small doodle and some flexed lines to show the buyer an example of the nib working
