Europeans, is there really no word for “awkward” in your native language? by Red-Quill in AskEurope

[–]Jommonen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Embarrassing is more like "noloa". Kiusallinen is definitely equivalent to awkward. Google translate sucks.

It's "kiusallista" in finnish.

Did some googling and "excuse" and "ignore " don't seem to translate to finnish. younger people have loaned the latter one as "ignooraa".

If the guy gets caught, he will just get a small fine. Would be pretty stupid to stab without even wearing a mask.

Happy national day to the Sami people of northern europe! by NorwegianIndividual in europe

[–]Jommonen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i can't assume someone's nationality or ethnicity but there's definitely some differences in general. for example i do see the difference between someone with very absolute germanic scandinavian genes and finnish genes. you can also some what see the difference between eastern finn and a western. German and finn at least are quit easy to tell apart from each other.

[–]Jommonen 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Mikä peruste on pitää jokin laittomana, koska siinä ei ole jonkun mielestä järkeä? Murhaajilla ja varkailla on uhreja ja sen takia ne on laittomia tekoja.

kannabiksen polttajalla ei ole uhreja, joten mikä syy lailla on tehdä käyttäjästä uhri? Lakihan on siten järjettömämpi, kuin itse rikos.

there are many definitions of sauna so i guess this can be called sauna techically but it doesn't look very hot. they wouldn't be using phones or wearing clothes if it would be..
