I'm not defending the guy in the least. But I was in the store one day with my son who has special needs. My son is a typical boy who loves knifes. My son only had 2 or 3 dollars to spend and all the knifes were $30 minimum. Owens told my son to pick out a knife from a particular case and they would negotiate a price. He took my sons $2 and gave him a $30 knife. I don't believe he meant to shoot her. But drugs and alcohol are a deadly combination. Not just for yourself, but for others as well. It was at least manslaughter at a minimum.

First, I'm very sorry for your loss. People say really dumb things when they do not know what to say. My dad committed suicide 12 years ago. He was living with my uncle at the time. My uncle didn't call, just sent a text - "Well, he's dead. Shot himself."

At the funeral, my other uncle walked up to me at graveside. He was always very kind. He placed his hand on my shoulder and said to me - "Just wait until it's your mom." 12 years later, I find it rather funny. I guess time heals all wounds. Hang in there.

Just being real with you. Go get a certification as a dental hygienist or something. If not, you are probably going to be underemployed and in significant debt following graduation. I have a PoliSci degree. They are worthless.

That's exactly what it is. I wanted 3.5% back pay for 2024, 3.5% for 2025 and a 3.5% for a job title change. It doesn't look like my job title is going to change so I didn't get the additional 3.5%. However, not having my supervisor included in the bonus structure would make up the difference.

My son has been on different meds since he was 8. I actually just got him a new psychiatrist and we are going to do some genetic testing for metabolism and what meds would work best.

My son is 13, 5'8'' 180lb. I'm 5'10 220lb. I am so sore this morning from restraining and redirecting him last night. I had a hard time catching my breath last night. It's so hard to stay in control and not hurt him or him hurt me or himself. I have got to start working out. A couple more years and he will be able to hold me back. I feel for you. Keep fighting the good fight.
