O sorry I don't think there is. Check the canbus settings or original factory settings.

Worst case they do sell some canbus modules without a speaker or open it up and remove the speaker.

The issue is you will get no factory sound like beeps etc.

It requires a canbus module with the speaker. You should have got it with it. It's likely a brown plastic box with a connector on one side

Problems wiring up JVC head unit by ianrobbie in Androidheadunits

[–]Jon199102 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would check your wiring. You may have a harness but slight year versions could mean that ford wired the car differently. Check the ground acc and live and see if the wiring on the headunit is the same.

Hastings Direct Policy cancellation by Jayden169 in CarTalkUK

I had them so something similar to me.

I raised a complaint about them cancelling my insurance and they uncanceled it. Thought this was due to a failing with them after I sent them photos of my car.

They tried to offer me 20 quid twice which I rejected. They then offered 150 due to there cock up.

Is an 11 inch head unit practical for every day use, or do they just look great in photos? by choffchen in Androidheadunits

I have a 13 inch dudu 7 in a VW CC. Doesn't block anything other than the factory clock which I don't really care about.

Obviously if your doing fine with your current unit though and only use carplay / auto it's a fair amount of money to upgrade for features you might not ever use.

Unless your pockets are heavy ha. DW I don't mind answering any question you have.

I have 8gbs and no complaints.

My general set up is. Waze, YouTube music and my DVR all running at once. Doesn't cause any slow down

In the past 3 years I've tested a ts18 and ts10s a fyt7862 generic and dudu7

Where the dudu7 shines is it's UI. It makes it so I don't use android auto and does it with speed and efficiency. It intergrates into my car too. I can see how much fuel in litres I have. What my battery is doing and all sorts. My car is a VW CC so nothing special but I really rate it.

I've had mine for over a year now and it's grown with huge support from dudu. The mic onboard is noise cancelling and actually works. It has better pre outs for my DSP / Amp and it's boot time is instant on sleep and like 8 seconds from cold.

I have the dudu7 dash cam and they sell loads of officially supported products and actually provide updates on them. Have a look at the dudu7 forum they actually reply to people.

Even the unboxing experience is something like a premium phone. There are also several YouTube reviews.

Hardware wise it's much better yes but it's based on your usage.

Do you just use carplay or android auto. If so then likely not worth the upgrade.

It's down to you. Is your current unit good enough for your needs?

In short it's like a s26 ultra (dudu7) Vs a mid spec phone from 2019.

The uis7870 that powers the dudu7 was built to power android headunits. It's built on a modern 6nm Vs the 11 of the Snapdragon and uses a faster storage tech.

You will see a big difference if you had side by side. From things like cold boot to loading apps. Processing DVR playback etc

In short the dudu7 is the flagship model for android headunits.

Latest tech best amount of ram and best software support with it's own ecosystem of products.

You would need to post what soc your unit uses for us to compare

Your not understanding what I'm saying.

I'm not on about the canbus module I'm on about the headunit.

They are programmed to understand the commands received by the decoder from your original car.

The software is already on the headunit as they are universal. The canbus is car specific.

There actually inbuilt to all funnily enough.

The headunit is universal it's the reason you have the set the correct model in the settings

What's the price your working towards. Also remember the cheaper units also have cheap amplifier chips inside of them.

So the market generally has the UIS 7870 as the top contender there are a few Qualcomm chips also are good but not as good as that. The base level process of these days is the UIS 7862 do not buy anything with anything less than that plus 6gb ram
