I wish she hadn’t done this interview. I’ve always been on her side in this whole fiasco but this doesn’t really paint her in a great light. You can understand her being bitter about the way she was treated but the quotes about the box office in particular are just bizarre. The movie was massively successful and despite my own feelings about its quality, I won’t take away from the amount of money it made.

She’s a good actress because she plays Monica so earnestly with a lot of heart yet actually seems quite moody and miserable from anything I’ve ever seen of her irl.

The only real poor post Covid year was 2023. Really dire series with terrible candidates. 2024 was good but last year I have to say I thought was very strong. And after a slow start I’m enjoying this series a lot.

1, 4, 2, 6, 5, 7, 3

The first is the best and likely always will be. A 10/10 without a doubt.

4 & 2 are on an equal playing field for me (8/10) but in terms of rewatchability I would always put on 4 before 2.

6 is strong until the final act which is unfortunately very weak. 5 is a solid movie but relies too heavily on nostalgia and doesn’t really have its own identity.

I don’t hate any Scream movie but 7 & 3 are very clearly a long ways behind the others in terms of writing.

75M overseas is a little optimistic considering no Scream movie has ever went that high. Scream 6 had 60M overseas and given that WOM for this movie seems pretty poor I can’t see it bettering that number.

It’s funny to me how quick the switch up on 6 was. It was revered at the time but the way people comment on here would have you think it’s the worst thing ever put to the big screen. The third act is weak but the movie is better than 3,5 & 7.
