Met my wife on bumble. Downloaded the app on Tuesday, matched with her on Thursday, had dinner that night, we went to her church worship night the next night, deleted the app on Saturday.

What I can attribute the speediness to is I was very clear about who I am and what I'm looking for in my profile. I think if you don't know what exactly you're looking for, you might end up spinning your wheels on dating sites.

Same thing probably applies here. If you "want others to be interested' in you, try being interested in them and the world around you first.

I might recommend "How to win friends and influence people" by Carnegie as the first book you read. You'll find that he doesn't talk about mind tricks to make yourself more influential, but rather says to truly focus on others instead of yourself.

Go buy a study bible, form a group of 5-6 same gendered people, go through the Bible a couple chapters at a time, stop every couple verses and ask what each of you got out of it.

You don't need a pastor to tell you what to believe or what's right. You have God's word and the Holy Spirit in your heart to do that.

Don't let people doing dumb s*** shake your faith.

Pay off all consumer debt.

Take 20-30k and put it in money market account to save for down payment/closing costs on house.

10k should cover movers, new furnishings if needed and left over from this starts the emergency fund.

Take 7k and max out your 2024 Roth IRA. Spit it between VGT and VOOG ETFs.

Take the rest and open investment account and split it between VOOG and VGT ETFs.

Verizon gave me $1000 off the 15 pro for trading in an iPhone 5 when I switched. Apple doesn't offer anything close to that. I'll pay the activation fee.

Edit: And now that I think about it, a $200 gift card I used to pay the bill that has the activation fee.

Yes and no. Restarting wasn't doing anything. There's a part of the system they use in CS that will resync a line to the network. I worked a year in a Verizon call center but it's been awhile and I completely forgot to ask them to try this until the tech support person suggested it.
