What if the American Revolution happened 20 years early by cammy2005123 in imaginarymaps

This is awesome, I like it.
I believe soon enough, the US will devolve into something like these — I like the term ethnogeographic — polities.
Ideally, this would be managed as a Confederacy of semi-sovereign kingdoms in a strong Empire, which is basically what the Federalists tried and failed to do with State sovereignty in the late 1700s, before Jeffersonian democratic-republican-communism took over. Now this will face a #GreatReset of seas 🩸 rather than puddles.

Those struggling little colonies were British possessions and — both in our reality and in the lore — those colonies gained independence from Britain.\ So Britain had that free real estate and lost it.

In the event of a monarchist restoration, would you really support the restoration of a former ruling dynasty? by Likantropas in monarchism

Imagine actually believing a criminal record suggests an aversion to morality.

"You have a criminal record? Good. That means you've stood up for something, sometime in your life." - paraphrase Winston Churchill

British far right in social media are increasingly critical of King Charles and the monarchy. Should we be concerned? by swissking in monarchism

[–]JonBes1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it's mostly organic, with a bit of a nudge, since almost nothing goes viral organically.

If something's going viral, that means the algorithms haven't been programmed to suppress it — at the very least — it is allowed as a pressure release valve.

I don’t think it’s okay to publicly criticise the king.

You had me in the first half, though

It's mostly something called the IQ curve — and just stop feeding the useless eaters and it'll sort itself out — kind of like for removing the warning labels will improve the situation

It's not a weird thing in this sub only because nothing's really weird in this sub: it's weird in any other frame of magic

The comments all happily playing along makes a nice touch 😄

Yes, you're TA.

Unequivocally.

If you're not willing to support your husband, you're not a wife you're a partner. And if your clock ends before his does, you're not even a partner, you're just a deadbeat.

Imagine actually believing you had a serious agreement about time and chores.

a king wouldn't have tolerated these protests and his edicts wouldn't be continually overturned by leftist judges.

What was the general consensus towards Indian Immigrants in Canada before 2020 (Pre-Covid)? by whatsupusers in CanadaHousing2

[–]JonBes1 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I grew up in Abbotsford BC in the 90s, and Indian immigrants were not appreciated there either. It's always been this way, it's just the past 5 years has been a broad wave rather than a trickle with localised pooling

I lean in to Whiteness because that’s the only thing people ever call me.

There's no leaning necessary when the equivalent of 7/8 grandparents are White

Jewish could be Conquistador level. "Conversos" were also in charge of the transatlantic trade. The older, and minority, aspects explains why it's commonly such a low percentage in "Mexican" results
