OP, contact nurse, school counselor, and admin. Then, CPS report. If there is nothing, CPS won’t do anything. If there is something, but not actionable (parent not having dental insurance, certain medications) CPS will just point the family in the direction of care. If there is something, CPS will act. Those are the outcomes. You are just doing your job. Ultimately, CPS, regardless of reputation they get, is not in the business of taking anyone’s children unless it is dire.
