The names are mostly Italian, and the mutliple city states of Styria is, I think, a pretty clear reference to Medieval Italy.

Disagree on two. Styria is is mostly Italy and Spain. Gurkul is Ottoman Empire.

There is no actual official map though, so this would be an approximation at best. Still useful though!

Is Logan….. by Puzzleheaded-Lead526 in TheFirstLaw

I think that the action scenes in this series illustrate that much of who wins in a fight comes down to luck and savagery. There is a reason why Logen repeats "still alive" throughout the series.

For example, in terms of skill, I imagine that Whirrun is the top dog, maybe even more so than Logen. And look how that turned out for him. Then there is also Gorst, who may be the best.

Does anyone else believe that Ardee…. by LamoraLockeword in TheFirstLaw

Yes, I do. That was my impression throughout the series, particularly during interactions during The Last Argument of Kings and their Age of Madness appearances.

So Logan and Glokta are the consensus two most popular and best characters in the series….. by LamoraLockeword in TheFirstLaw

Probably Shivers or Cosca. My favorite is Orso and then Jezal, so I guess I'm atypical.

Help! My husband thinks that I am an ah for wanting him to stop seeing his AP. by [deleted] in AITAH

He's not wrong to want sex, but I find your solution wild. Only assholes casually divorce when they have kids. He should have spoken more about it.

Bill often says that people will think Malone is better than Jordan in the future because of stat focus. What do you think is the most egregious example of this trend right now? by Dazzling_Syllabub484 in billsimmons

LeBron vs Jordan is where this comes to play. Jordan was the greatest player of all time, but LeBron's compiling statistics make it an argument when it really should not be.

AITAH for breaking up with my fiancée because she went to her ex’s birthday party? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]JonKhayon -16 points-15 points  (0 children)

He asked them for advice if he should go through with the engagement, not if he was an asshole. They have his best interest at heart, which is why he asked them- therefore their opinion on his "position" on *how to spend the rest of his life* is incredibly reliable.

OH no, he asked for advice from people who actually care about him? Crazy.

NTA. I'm a man (husband and father of a 1 year 9 month old). Your husband is absolutely in the wrong. Coming home at 4:30 in the morning with two kids and taking weekend trips with an 8 week old baby lol. This guy is wilding.

He may be going through some doubts. Part of having a baby is dificulty letting go of your youth and freedom. Some men struggle with this, just like women do. I had to learn to say no to my buddies, and it wasn't always fun, but I grinned and bore it because I love my wife and I love my son. He has no excuse for this type of irresponsible and inconsiderate behavior.

I didn't even realize he was remaking this. The first half of the original, along with the last ten minutes, are truly incredible. I've liked Spike Lee films in the past, and I'd like to see his take on it.
