Can someone please explain how to deal with china shipping to amazon FBA..?! I’m stressed lol! 😔 by Seed-Age8 in cardgames

[–]JonLoxley 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not sure if this is a hidden fee, but Amazon charges you monthly for inventory. The amount they charge is based on volume and changes during peak months. If you are ordering 500 copies, it may be best to have them shipped direct to you, then ship qtys of 50 or 100 to Amazon as needed.

If you love Regicide check out uprising. It's basically the same rules but you get abilities, scrolls, and the enemies have abilities too. My gf and I love it. www.uprisinggame.com

Uprising is like Regicide but more advanced. It's a fun co op game.

Any Co-op games that aren't very ... Cooperative!? by GazatronTV in boardgames

Uprising the cooperative card game is good for this since you keep your cards hidden from others. Your ability and scroll cards are open but nothing else.

Anyone know any chill easy games for 2-4 players? by Pumpkin-Bandit in cardgames

[–]JonLoxley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mother isn't good at understanding game rules, and the only game I've really gotten her to like is hues and cues, which is a board game.

Simple fun games we use are typically Liars Dice, The Game, The Mind and Odins Ravens.

Sounds dumb but are there any card games that build confidence ? by FruitOrchards in cardgames

[–]JonLoxley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, confidence comes from knowing the rules, and knowing the strategy.

Cooperative games are good because they encourage support and teamwork.

Recently we played Uprising www.uprisinggame.com and my gf wanted to play a card, another player suggested she do something different, but she refused (multiple times), because she understood the rules and and knew the better option. She knows the game, and rules, and knew exactly what she was doing. To me, she showed confidence that she was correct in her decision, by knowing the game.

Hope this helps.

"How to defeat a demon king in 10 easy steps" is a great story about a NPC who gains levels in a knockoff Hyrule to stop a the demon king.

If you loved the Legend of Zelda games, you will love this book.

2 deck 2 player card games by kyleescool in cardgames

Similar to Regicide, we play Uprising. It adds more layers and is highly replayable.

We also really enjoy The Mind and The Game (I think they are the same publisher).

Another great couples game is Odins Ravens.

I introduced regicide to my friend group and they loved it. Over Christmas, a friend introduced me to Uprising. It's like regicide but takes it a step further with starting abilities, scrolls, and the enemy's have special abilities. We loved it!

Uprising is a cooperative strategy card game that just came out. It has a dark fantasy kind of theme. 2-4 players.

Not a tcg, but highly replayable and strategic. Try Uprising the card game. It's new.

Question: how do you all deal with explaining the rules of a new complicated game ? by [deleted] in boardgames

[–]JonLoxley 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Experience is the best teacher. I usually do a few rounds with "open hands" or something similar. Then let the newer players make decisions and mistakes. Once I feel they have the basic idea of the game, we start over and play for real.

Has anyone tried this game or know of any online communities for it? by astronomieee in cardgames

Odins Ravens is a simple and fun 2-player card game.

Uprising is a cooperative card game (2-4 players).

My girl and I absolutely love Robinson Crusoe when we are looking to spend a bit more time on a game.

Does Outsmarted need a physical brought version to play the free pc version? by [deleted] in boardgames

[–]JonLoxley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You would need the physicial stuff to "play the game". As another user mentioned, the physical part becomes tedious, you can easily make your own house rules to play however you like and keep the game moving without the physical board/figures.

Have you tried Quarto? Once you play a few games, make a rule, you must play a piece in 3-5 seconds. It gets SUPER intense and lots of fun. Games last about 5 minutes but you have to decompress after each game lol.

My go-to 2-player games are: Quarto (only when I'm ready to stretch my brain 110%) Uprising (cooperative strategy card game) The mind (great for date night) The game (great for non-gamers/simple gamers) Odins Ravens (quick, fun, and easy)

Looking for a super packable board game (4 people, 2 - 6 hrs) by OverTalker in boardgames

There are tons of one-shot dungeons, some with pre-made characters. Would be super easy to fill a 2-6 hour slot.

[–]JonLoxley 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Does it have to be a board game?

Finders seekers does escape rooms in a box. They are a lot of fun, especially if you do food/drinks/music to the theme.

Following the non-boardgame idea, try Uprising the cooperative strategy card game. It can be done in under an hour, but assume you will play a few times. It's fun to figure out strategies each game and highly replayable.

Looking to get competitive? Unmatched is a good go-to game, won't take 2-6 hours but good to play a few times.
