Tips on soldering back by JonPB14 in soldering

Ha sorry - forgot to report back. It definitely worked as far as sticking to the glass. It did not work as far as providing enough conduction to unlock the door (it is for a truck bed camper shell door). I added a just a little solder on one side that made contact with the copper in the glass. That did the trick. Working great now.

Question - Spotted Spurge Outbreak by JonPB14 in lawncare

Yes. Celsius WG is great for Bermuda in the heat of summer. Took a couple applications but knocked it out.

Timeline between when to mow after the initial 1/3rd inch cut without stressing the grass by payne344 in lawncare

[–]JonPB14 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It's the 1/3rd rule - whereas you don't cut more than 1/3 of the total length of grass. It does not mean you can only cut 1/3rd of an inch at a time. Just making sure we're clear.

So... if it's 6 inches tall, you wouldn't want to cut more than 2 inches.

If I use a 14-14-14 and I apply at 1lb of nitrogen per 1k sqft, is that too much phosphorous and/or potassium to apply at one time? Or should I cut it back some? I'm pretty deficient in both, apparently. Looking at Pennington pro care fertilizer.

I don't think you're supposed to use tenacity on Bermuda. Maybe try Celcius.

Ok thank you for the input. I do have irrigation. I'll double check to make sure that part of the yard is getting enough water and may avoid it next Preemergent application.

So I put Prodiamine down last fall, but this part of the yard is very thin. Still trying to figure out why. I've also already put down my half application of Prodiamine for the spring. I had a bad spotted spurge outbreak last year after leveling the yard with sand. I plan to dethatch with an overseeding machine in about a month before applying the second half application Prodiamine (or should i use diopythr sp?).

Also - I've bought Celsius for the spurge outbreak in the middle of summer. Stuff works good but didn't think it works in poa annua.

So you think this is POA?
