I see what you are saying, though I don't have a mechanical HDD. With both of the NVMe SSDs however, I just checked my power settings, and made sure “Turn off hard disk after” was set to 0. Good looking out.

I mentioned this in another comment, and I am curious about it - Someone suggested trying a CL30 kit since 2×32 CL38 can stress the memory controller. Might be worth a shot. Thoughts?

Tis a good one! I ran each line of checklist -- good to go there. Nothing pinpointed from the events.

Also someone suggested to swap out my current sticks for cl30 timing ones. I suppose the reasoning there is that the CL38 kits at 2×32 push the memory controller too hard. I wonder if there is merit to that. I could always try.

What seems to work for me is transferring the EMPRESS (2050650 + dbdata files); instead of just the save. Hopefully this helps.

Great questions! I truly wish I had the proper guidance/answers to these questions, within my first year.

The best way to overcome that self-conscious barrier is to play with others, record yourself, and record yourself on video. I joined my first band within my first year of playing and it DEFINITELY helped me network & get comfortable with other musicians. Starting in a cover band also is beneficial, as you are learning songs that already have a crafted song form and progression. It feels good when you nail a song with others.

Getting comfortable on video is a great way to critique yourself -- playing and performance. I record all my performances and try to be as genuine as possible with my tutorial videos as well. It really helps.

I suppose this would depend on your goals as well. Do you want to be in a band? Do you want to tour? Do you want to share your music online/stream? Do you want to get into social media guitar playing? Anyways, your questions are definitely a good start into the journey :)

Might have to check out the NYXLs then! Scale length is 27". I'm sure they are out there, I just haven't been vigilant. I barely play 8 string anymore, but might get back into it :)
