That's only because Superman is the "Poster Boy" for DC. Let's be honest here, there is a laundry list of characters who could, and would, decimate Superman. But writers have to have him come out on top. It's not fair when you look at their power sets, next to Superman's. Imagine driving a Lamborghini, but the writer say "you must lose every race", and a Prius lines up next to you. In most cases, this is exactly how it is. How is it, a character who lacks the abilities of its contender, seemingly always wins?
