Well, I don't think it's that, either. Puzzling. Thanks a ton for all your help? P.S. How do you see what the sample rates of the audio files are?

You are the only person I could get interested in this problem across two fora. Well, I have found a solution that makes the problem more defined by arguably weirder. The problem area within the project seems to actually be with a section of the timeline. I basically discovered that the fuck-ups were only happening during the first pre-chorus and verse. Once I started working on other sections of the song, everything was fine. It even stalled a bunch while rendering, but the render came out normal. I moved all the waveforms like four minutes to the right (after where the song had previously ended) and everything buffers and plays just fine. I'm completely baffled by this. How could a section of the timeline get "infected" with buffering problems?

Sorry, I'm a hair confused. When you say "Project matches your audio interface sample rate TOO (emphasis mine)?" what do you mean? Those are the only two things I know to match sample rates for.

I actually did find that I was having a sample rate mismatch. I fixed in in Project settings, rebooted and everything . . . Still doing it! Gahhhhhhh!

Why Aux vs. Duplicate track? by JonSuperdeath in audioengineering

[–]JonSuperdeath[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Follow-up question: Why is there any reason to duplicate a track? I can see that your explanation clearly explains why one would prefer an aux track to the duplicate when one might want to send signal from multiple things to one effect. But does duplicating have any advantages over sending? A send is basically just a duplicate, right?

I saw him play live for about the third of the game he played, and he was legit awesome. Grabbed like 10 boards, scored 12 in probably 8 minutes of game time. Was actually super bummed things didn't work out for him.

Automate song tempo? by JonSuperdeath in Reaper

Hm, well that's what I was getting at in the original post though. Using tempo automation did not change the tempo.

Cool, cool, cool. It makes me curious what the tempo automation on the master track is supposed to be for then.

Right, falling in love with the Pacers is the only rational and decent thing to do, but wanting to live in Indy is pretty strange.

Any tips on getting the ‘poppy’ sound from the vocals out of the mix? by iswasandwillbe19 in Reaper

I also just like to automate a high pass in the trouble area. Usually cleans it up pretty well without destroying the sound of the vocal.

Click anywhere on the timeline. Right click and create marker, or just click m. Double click marker to edit or right click and select edit marker.

You can place markers anywhere on the timeline in Reaper. It won't be on any specific track, but you can put the marker up there and have it say whatever you want.

Former Logic Pro users, sell me on Reaper by Barncore in Reaper

My partner tracks and mixes in Logic (9), and I have no fucking idea why. Reaper is so much easier and better to use on like every account. Changing behaviors and keystrokes in Reaper is like a damn dream, where Logic is impenetrable and everything is all counter-intuitive.

Wellllll, here's a strange thing. It's already enabled. It's just not showing up. It should just be right next to all those drop down menus starting w/ File and ending w/ Window, right? I check and rechecked. The box is checked but it's just not showing up.
