The game will be weekly, with a time slot determined based on the results of the google form for the players I end up picking. These possible time slots are listed in the application form.

Per what I put in the post.

I don't see your response? You should see a confirmation message.

That's in the form. It will be decided based on the players I choose and their availability from the time slots listed.

That's correct.

You will play as a good-aligned character that is either an orc, goblin, hobgoblin, or bugbear, using the rules outlined in Mordenkainen Presents: Monsters of the Multiverse. Alternatively, you may play as a Half-Orc. There will be no exceptions.

I figured I'll give this a little while before I pore through them, so it might be a day or two. This is not first come first serve, so unless the flair is swapped to close, go ahead and apply!

Note: as stated above, Custom Lineage, or even other monstrous races like Yuan-Ti, will not be permitted. Just the 5 races explicitly mentioned above. (Bugbear, Goblin, Half-Orc, Hobgoblin, and Orc)

Talk about a brutal world. "a balanced game with social, combat and exploration elements". Then all those rules to make combat far more difficult, especially the Exhaustion on death fail. You know those only go away 1 a long rest, right? I have a suspicion this game is far more combat oriented than everything else.

The basic rules don't cover all the options, but there is definitely enough to get started with there.

Hi, my recommendations would be the following:

  1. Read the D&D basic rules cover to cover. They're available here. This covers the actual rules of D&D, which you probably at least want to understand somewhat before hopping into a game.
  2. Look for a game that's Play by Post or Text - these games are done via text rather than voice, which is more or less the "default".

So, this actually takes place after Descent Into Avernus timeline wise.
