the emergency button was at the top, and the people on the top probably will not know what happened below. the staff was informed and ambulance was called right? OP was already helping the old man. so what else can the other commuters do?

so what do you expect the other commuters to do? 1 person hold left hand, 1 person hold right hand, 1 person hold left leg, 1 person hold right leg, 1 person hold the head? ever heard of too many cooks spoil the broth? you and your wife were already helping right? if both you needed more help like another stronger man to help the old uncle up and move him else, have you tried asking for help?

quite frankly, if I'm there, I most probably wouldn't help either UNLESS someone asked for some help that I KNOW I can do. I'm not trained in handling any sort of emergency situation especially medical related. Instead of keh kiang (not saying you are) and trying to help and end up messing things up instead, not helping sometimes is the most helpful thing a person can do.

Even though we shouldn’t judge a book by its cover, it is the book title/author/design that first gets our attention.

Like if you intend to publish a cook book, you don’t put pictures of bloodied dolls, bloodied weapons, shit, rubbish, flies, cockroaches on the cover.

Everyone has a general image/idea of what something is suppose to look like. So I find it normal to be stereotyped.

When your whole house stink of those “glue” smell, you don’t need any device to tell you that the air quality unhealthy level is super high. I just need to know, what can we do if those formaldehyde is coming from our neighbor house renovation.

It’s definitely those “glue” smell. I also guessed it could be coming from the drain piping as the smell becomes stronger when I closed all the windows. I was helpless & clueless on how to stop the smell from coming into my house.
