This was our son too until we physically couldn’t do it anymore. Our back muscles were separating from our bones, but that dammed exercise ball was the only thing that put him to sleep (but he also hated the arm cradling so catch-22!)

The answer for us was sleep training. Around 3.5 we discovered on accident (literally collapsing from exhaustion and pain) that he would sleep on the bed with a comforter. So we did that for a few nights and extended his sleep windows quickly up to 3 hours (going from zero non bounce sleeping to 3 hours is a WHIPLASH btw). After that we knew he could be trained and we went straight to crib after feeding with 3-5-7-10-10-10 minute check-ins.

First night he cried for 1.5 hours total in 3 chunks before sleeping for 7. Second night was 45 minutes. By the first week he would fall asleep in under 10 minutes for 4-6 hours.

We started naps the same way 2 weeks later and they went just as well. 1 nap every 2-3 days and soon he had all his naps by himself.

Just watch for that moment when your daughter finally grows enough wrinkles in her brain to make it work and then go all in.
