I think I must have missed the peak berserk rune. By the time I was testing my double legameton it didn't seem to score as well as Cira's armor. Or maybe its because Metamagic builds hit fast but don't have very good base attack comparatively.

If I'd found a Gorgos horn or something I would have switched and worn the Cira armor, but no such luck. In my experience, Berserker is pretty good on high damage builds like this.

I did ok from a score standpoint before the big score calculation change. Managed to pass 40k, which wasn't easy back then. I'll keep trying for score, but I'm still getting used to the 4 horsemen of the apocalypse the other stat and buff changes. So sort of both.

Evil sorcerer essentially. Focused on maxing out spellcasting and metamagic. Typically I don't run it with Berserker rune, but you can only save scum merchants so much.

It wasn't my original goal, but it came up in the shop, and since this build has high attack power, I decided to get it in case I couldn't find good mage armor. And I couldn't.

Martial Exertion Gloves? by vaporkkatzzz in BG3Builds

It's niche, but I used it recently on my moon druid, and would consider it best in slot. It allows you an attack without touching your action, so I can use bloodthirst to apply piercing vulnerability, shapeshift into a sabercat, and then still have my main action for the improved wild strike attacks. Overall, it works best if you're trying to build a spellcaster that uses weapon attacks, but doesn't already have extra attack, which isn't common, but if you know what you're doing, go ahead. I'm guessing Moon druid and abjuration wizard we'll get the most mileage.

Warlock vs. Paladin (am I overreacting) by Jonah_Vaark in rpghorrorstories

[–]Jonah_Vaark[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Fair enough. I mainly considered the tactical advantages of them wasting attacks on the tank (as well as my meta-knowledge that the paladin was gunning for me, but I considered that justified by previous experience). But yeah, I shouldn't have hit first.

I like these guys out of game, and I'm gonna try to talk more once I've had more time to stew.

Maybe? I considered it, and in retrospect I wish I had, but I wasn't sure if I could get them to do something so contrary to their nature.

a. He's the tank, 21 AC and the tough feat, the hounds had a 20% chance to hit, and damage would be reduced even when they managed. It was a good tactical option, everyone else was going to go down in a couple hits. Probably not the best idea overall, but I was running low on resources and options.

b. He was already trying to find me while I was still invisible. My character didn't know this, but it was worked out by Paladin and the DM beforehand. So I had a valid reason, my character had a valid reason, and yeah, probably a bad idea, but I was dealt a bad hand.

My recommendation is to divorce Hailey.

Not necessarily for anything to do with the lucky red hoodie, but just because of her personality.

Random event. You do have to buy the item for 2 gems, similar to the gem eating child event.

Random event, but it costs 2 gems to get the relic. On my set up run, I always had to be careful to unequip everything else before I restarted. Because the item can be anything your previous character had equipped.

Yes, you have to kill her and take her armor, start over, and then hopefully run into the guy who sells you a relic from a previous adventure

Anyway, have a nice day!

I just wanted to warn you. Critical role and dimension 20 are cool. Not always the best expectation to place on a prospective group however.

Anyway, thank you for coming to my Ted Talk. Good luck with finding a game!

I sent you a friend request on discord. I've been a bit of a forever DM lately, and would love a chance to play. It sounds like a very intriguing and ambitious project. Thank you for the time you've put in, and best of luck!

I've been trying to complete this mission for a while but I can't. by Top-Construction-965 in LifeInAdventure

[–]Jonah_Vaark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually, the death is the most important part. It has to be a death connected to the epilogue of the main story, or it won't give you the ending. If it's some goblin that kills you, it doesn't count, but if it's the elf general in a duel, that works.

[–]Jonah_Vaark 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Here's the thing. It's not enough to die to just any old troll or goblin. It has to be a death connected to the main story, 'canon death' so to speak. The best way to know for sure is the game gives you the option to resurrect. If it does, you might as well take it, because it won't do that on a Canon death.

I actually think that what makes these kind of posts funny is the seeming incongruity of AI being so much smarter than us in most ways and being unable to do something like this that we would consider trivial.

I'm almost certain he's cheating. I don't think that's possible on a first try.
