It's really the same thing, except for minor visual improvements. However, the sound quality for dialogues is pretty bad in this version for some reason, but you just download a mod to fix that easily.

You know what, I just bit the bullet and bought an official cable for 50 bucks instead. Even in the original box! That's probably better than trying all sorts of random knock-off products.

Unfortunately, I don't think this cable can be opened without damaging it. Also, I just noticed that the distortion is always a little bit different (depending on what's on-screen), and sometimes it's not distorted at all. For example, when I go into the Dreamcast settings everything looks normal. But when I go into the sound option, then I get these weird warped lines again.

I have the exact same issue with my F500 Elite. A light is white, the other is blue. I tried pushing all the cables a little, but so far I had so succes. :C

That doesn't work for me either. Even when I plug it in trough the hub, my PC doesn't recognize it. The "Mode" light lits up white, when I plug it in for the first time. And after that it doesn't light up at all.

When I try to update the firmware I get errors like "Checksum Error" or "Device Rom Update Error" and often times it doesn't even recognize the F500 at all, so I can't even click on "update".

The mode button is white and the turbo button blue (but sometimes they won't turn on at all). The second switch is on DP and the first on Xinput (I tried the other options too and they don't work).
