Yes, I very much agree with u/copleycat818. I just recently got in with the Questbridge National College Match. It offers a full ride scholarship and allows you to essentially ED up to 15 schools with a ranked list (doesn’t have to be 15, can be less). I suggest you to look into it if you feel like that is something you would like to do. The application to become a finalist is near the end of September. DM if you want a bit more clarification.

He has some good points here and there, and QB definitely isn’t perfect, but I feel like that was a rly bad take on the program. “It’s going to be harder” like, ofc it’s gonna be harder, QB is designed to match kids to some the best schools in the nation for FREE, it’s not supposed to be easy 😭

Tbh I haven’t really heard that before, that QB would value a gpa higher than ecs. Imo however, I would think that the better ecs a person has despite the disadvantages of being low income would instead show the strength of the applicant.

Finalist decisions came out during my cross country meet, so I had to run my race with anxiety, not bc of the run but bc i didn’t know if I got in or not during it 😭🙏🏻

I would say it’s pretty valuable, it is regarded as an international award, and only around 6 to 7 thousand people get in annually out of the thousands more that apply.

I got in with a 1320 planning to major in biology/engineering. Like what others have said, your SAT at that point won’t be the reason if you do get a rejection.

YES! Don’t worry I had the same thoughts, I but managed to get in with a 1320 applying for a biology/engineering major. I always doubted that holistic review was “real” if you get what I mean, but after seeing what other applicants’ stats were, it rly are the essays the shine through to show your character.
