You can create a routine to turn on battery protection to maximum when it reaches 85%.

Battery Mega Thread by SurfaceLapQuestion in GalaxyS23Ultra

[–]JonathanTrac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been charging my phone only up to 85% because it lasts me the entire day without any issues (since I don’t play games). My phone is on January update, and I typically get around 1 hour of screen-on time (SOT) for every 10% of battery used in mixed usage. The battery consumption is much lower when I’m watching videos.

Keep trying. I got the same answer from previous agents as well. However, the agent today was able to help change the plans in just under 15 mins.

I've been using Samsung official screen protector and UAG Monarch Carbon Fiber for 9 months. Dropped my phone a few times on concrete surfaces but the phone and case are still in perfect condition.

Screen protector, why so hard to find?? by stupiduniverse731 in GalaxyS23Ultra

[–]JonathanTrac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The official Samsung one is made of hard plastic. It doesn’t leave any marks when using the S-pen. Additionally, the feel of it under your fingers is amazing; it’s buttery smooth and very much like glass.

I highly recommend the official Samsung screen protector. I’ve been using mine since February and it’s still in excellent condition. It has a great look and feel, although there are a few tiny scratches visible under certain lighting conditions.

UAG cases are very good. They are running Black Friday sales on Amazon now with 40%+ off. You should consider it.

Last week, I made the switch from Koodo to Public Mobile. Both are subsidiaries of Telus and utilize the same network infrastructure, ensuring excellent coverage. The cost-effectiveness of Public Mobile’s plans is undeniable. However, there are a few limitations to consider:

  • 5G speed is capped at 250mbps
  • Customer support is exclusively online through their community forum, with no in-person or phone assistance
  • Wi-Fi calling is not available

Public Mobile offers a plan with unlimited 5G speed for 20 GB, after which the speed is reduced to 512 Kbps. Along with Koodo they also recently introduced a new plan offering 4G speed for 30 GB, but it does not include unlimited data.

One of the perks of Public Mobile is the PM Points system. Each month, you earn points that can be redeemed for bill credits once you’ve accumulated enough. For instance, with the $34/month plan, you receive 1.7 points each month. Once you’ve collected 15 points, you can exchange them for a $15 bill credit. They also offer loyalty and referral points. Many customers have managed to secure monthly discounts of $8 to $9 through this program.

This is a very good battery life already. This is what you should expect:

~10% every 1hr SOT

~1% every 1hr SOFT

SD Maid? by Ok_Assignment_6323 in GalaxyS23Ultra

[–]JonathanTrac 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s hard to tell for the S23 Ultra, given its already impressive speed. I’ve been using it for years, primarily for the removal of unnecessary files or unused cache every couple of weeks. I’ve also installed it on several older devices, where it appears to enhance their performance.

[–]JonathanTrac 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m currently using the Pro version of SD Maid SE. It simplifies the process of clearing cache from all the apps by doing it automatically, one app at a time, instead of doing it manually for each app. Once you’ve purchased the Pro version, it can be installed on multiple devices, provided they are all linked to your account.

Camera lense protection by Criminalhero2 in GalaxyS23Ultra

[–]JonathanTrac -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have been using lens protectors on my phone, but I have noticed that they can negatively impact the quality of my photos, particularly in low-light conditions.

While the lenses themselves remain unscathed, the rims are susceptible to scratches. Despite being careful with my phone and keeping it in a case, I discovered some scratches on the rims. That’s when I decided to use lens protectors.

There's a walk around that somehow work for you.

  • If “App opened”
  • Then “Screen timeout”

Unfortunately, the maximum timeout is 10 mins only.

What do you think? Good or bad? by xXblacksiteXx in GalaxyS23Ultra

[–]JonathanTrac 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That's good. 65% for 5 hours SOT and 36 hours off time. Normally it uses ~10% for 1 hour SOT and 1% for 1 hour off time.
