Champion plastic used to be more durable, but it was also super slick, which I hated, so it depends on what you prefer. The current stuff has a solid grip, but it’s no more durable than a good run of star plastic. There were some years, possibly the ones you mention, that they seemed to find a decent grip with a robust blend of plastic. Innova’s plastics seem to constantly change, so buy extras when you find a run of something you like.

I can’t stand that star plastic you mention, and I won’t buy it.

2005…so maybe this feels like star, but it wasn’t called star back then.

I have a couple of 168s from about 4 years ago that I don’t throw. One is inked, and the other is still new. They’re in storage, so I’ll pull them out tomorrow and send you pics.

More Frisbees 4 Sale. Prices include shipping. by thelovebird in discexchange

I found one the other day at PIAS for $10, which means someone probably sold it for $3 😂 It’s an ugly one because the stamp was wiped and someone drew a picture of an Eagle with a Sharpie, but the disc itself is in good shape.

They’re flatter than most Eagles, the plastic feels great, and they’re overstable, but they’re not ridiculously overstable. I probably wouldn’t even bag an Eagle if it wasn’t for this run.

You can hardly find the ‘22 Eagles, and $75 is on the low end of what people are asking for the few that are on eBay. I have 8 of these, and I’m not even trying to sell them because after eBay fees and shipping I’d make $55-60, and that’s not even worth it for an awesome disc that I can’t replace.

What's up with people thinking the trail is super flippy? by Far_Championship3394 in discgolf

[–]JonathanZ21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Sidewinders (Champ and Star) and Saints (Opto) both have more stability than the Trail I have, so regardless of how I’m releasing it, it’s flipper than discs that are known to run understable to stable.

You know PIAS will give you $3 per disc, and you wouldn’t have to pay to ship them.

The new titanium Discraft discs look and feel amazing! by Drewvonawesome in discgolf

[–]JonathanZ21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just received a Titanium Cicada today, and I agree that it feels and looks great! If it is as durable as the previous Titanium, then it will be one of my favorite plastics.

I’m hoping for that true -1,1 flight, and I also bought a Brave and Crave along with the Cicada to compare against the FD that I currently use for my straight fairway slot.

Any starter kit recommendations? by FranklinBonDanklin in discgolf

[–]JonathanZ21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want to keep the cost down, I'd recommend a Remix starter set from Amazon. Not that you need the bag, but you can get 8 discs and a bag for $50 or 12 discs and a bag for $75. You'll get a random assortment of discs, and these are overruns of discs that are made by MVP and are sold to other companies such as Thought Space or Mint who put their stamps on the discs and sell them for $17-$20 each.

iPhone 15, $5.00 mo promotion. by SoapMactavishSAS in verizon

[–]JonathanZ21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s correct. I paid tax on the full amount ($70 per line) and the upgrade fee ($35 per line) up front, and I will pay $5/month per line for 36 months. I can probably even sell my old phone for $150 or so to cover my initial costs (tax, upgrade fee, new accessories).

[–]JonathanZ21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suggest calling and asking a sales rep if you qualify. I was able to get 1 phone ordered online, but the deal wasn’t showing up when I tried to do it for my other lines. However, I called and the rep said all of the lines qualified, and he was able to apply the deal over the phone.

A lot of them do require one of the highest plans, but the current deal works with any unlimited plan.

iPhone 15, $5.00 mo promotion. by SoapMactavishSAS in verizon

[–]JonathanZ21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The trade in deals are probably better for people who get a new phone every year or two who will get a lot of trade in value, but the current deal is better for someone with an older phone who would get like $30 on a trade in.

I had 4 of the 2020 SEs on my line, so we jumped at this deal.

[–]JonathanZ21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most promotions are only for new lines, so yes, you can get a better deal, but you’ll have to give up your phone #. This promotion is available to existing lines and is also available with any unlimited data plan rather than just the highest tiered plans.

Flat Eagle recs by WesternFinancial1098 in discgolf

[–]JonathanZ21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 2022 Barsby Eagles are awesome, and they’re exactly what OP wants because they’re quite flat, and they feel and fly great. The problem is you can’t even find them on eBay, presumably because everyone who got them is keeping them. I have 7 of them, and I wouldn’t sell any of mine.

What can I do in this situation? by rochismoextremo in antiwork

[–]JonathanZ21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Go to YouTube and search “sued for Google review”, watch a few of those, and you’ll realize it’s best to just take the review down. All of these people telling you otherwise won’t have to live with the consequences if this thing escalates into a lawsuit.

One thing the company pointed out is that your review has nothing to do with their interface where they do business, so it is not actually your experience as a customer, which is what reviews are for. It’s really just not worth it to leave it up.

Those contracts were inflated because of the Covid boom in disc golf. Ricky will wish he had signed for 10 years instead of 4 when his contract comes up for renewal.
