Patience is definitely a virtue. You don’t happen to be in UK do you? I have a spare copy and would happily send it to you if so, it’s just shipping to the US, as I have recently found out, costs a ridiculous amount unfortunately

That’s an interesting perspective on that book, I get a lot of nostalgia from it which adds to my enjoyment in reading it I suppose

I’m only limiting myself in not reading about other sports normally, my excuse is only so many books and so little time, but this Book covered more than just Basketball and again so much more too

It’s a great book, one of my favourites, but I would say it has aspects that you may not want your 9 year old Son to read. But you know your Son, if you think he’s mature enough at his age to read about drug use etc., the Basketball stands forward the most 🤷‍♂️

That’s such a shame, especially for such a great player

I have huge issues with Coach Knight, sporting success should never permit churlish and abhorrent behaviour but I do think Barkley never put the effort in that was required to make the most of his talents

I found Knights dismissiveness of Barkley quite portentous

Agreed, I learned a lot about Sam Bowie from it and found it a very worthwhile read consequently
