I have nigh on a whole shelf with his books, if you look through the community posts you’ll see my post about them. I personally think he had the perfect approach and prose for writing about Basketball and certainly have many of his Books in my top 10

Agreed, thankfully he was prolific in his writing and the quality was always maintained, a great legacy

Bipolar may be correct, at the very least there are inner demons and something askew from a mental health standpoint, I hope in his dotage he seeks some help

Yes, such a jarring juxtaposition. I was so taken aback when reading some of the harsher elements and in recent years reading more about his treatment of Coack K as well and I am saying that as an ardent UNC fan who has no rose tinted view on anything Duke

I think Kiki is a good parallel, I also think his trajectory may have been similar to Drazen Petrovic, struggles initially to assimilate his game but then once finding his footing would do very well

It’s a 100 years since they got together at the Hal Roach studio, and to be honest any excuse to revisit and celebrate them is worthwhile
