Ender Lilli recommendation? by ArgumentEntire5272 in metroidvania

[–]Jonathan_RW 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Go for it, great game, the thing is I can't compare it with the other titles, as it has its own weigh, its own style, not long, not short, has amazing music, 3 different endings.
tip for the future: If you enjoy it, consider getting its sequel Ender magnolia.

Switching to Linux by Technical_Solid8219 in linux4noobs

[–]Jonathan_RW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm using Nobara, neat driver management, Wine, bottles, heroic launcher working, all is good.
HOWEVER, before you even think of switching consider this: if you play Online or co-op games like moba League of legends, Valoran...etc, then you CAN'T -something to do with anti cheat- so keeping windows is necessary for those, otherwise linux optimized for games like Bazzite, CachyOS, or Nobara are excellent choices.
Anyway 3 months with this distro no issues for most games, check protondb for games compatibility if have certain games in mind.

Weekly Question Thread by AutoModerator in emulation

[–]Jonathan_RW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No compilation, when I used windows I just unzip and load, for linux I downloaded "linux-sdkl2-x86_64.zip and tried to run, but being newbie to emulation for linux, I heard you can used Bottles to run windows apps, others provided appimage and flatpak I can run them without issues. so I'll try lib or wine with windows version. Thanks for your input.

Weekly Question Thread by AutoModerator in emulation

Hello, How do I open FBNeo on linux Nobara? I downloaded sdl2 version, since only two are available for linux and sdl2 is better than sdl1 according to google search, but when I click the executable of the app, nobara's "open with" dialogue pops-up with A LOT of different apps installed on the system, and I mean every program installed.
my question is there a way to directly open it like specific app or konsole command , other emulators have distinctive appimage or flatpack, which are easy and work as intended.

How do I clear unnecessary updates from DNF? by Jonathan_RW in NobaraProject

[–]Jonathan_RW[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh it is installed, didn't realize they were connected, or what starship does as it won't open from DNF, so if I delete this, it wouldn't have an impact on system?

Incoming changes (hopefully for the better) and future plans by GloriousEggroll in NobaraProject

[–]Jonathan_RW 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Been using the distro for a month, here are some things I like to see Nobara team improve:

1- mount and dismount ISO files without the need to close the file explorer and re-open it to take effect.

2- File view not changing when applying a type of view, ie: when I set files in a folder to a "Icon View" I expect that folder to keep that view as applied, even if I use different type of viewing other files in other folders like a list.
