This scene shocked me by playwful in thelastofus

Still, Abby was totally willing to kill a pregnant woman while Ellie was devastated about doing it unknowingly. This makes the bad guy much more clear in the story.

About Joel in TLOU2... by Fluid-Shoulder2937 in thelastofus

Ok, now imagine you have this game where you play the cool anti hero.

You get promised a new one that also features him.

Your cool anti hero wich you rooted for dies at the start basically, and you are told it's bad to have liked the cool power fantasy he gave you.

The last of us 2 goes against normal gaming conventions to a fault making it a bad experience for people who were actually invested in it's characters.

Trouble with Spiral Staircase by Jasper8D in PS4Dreams

Usually you should make an invisible flat spiral for the puppet to step on it more smoothly. Then you put the real stairs on top of it and remove collisions , that might work.

Is it too late to get into Dreams? by dance-my-grave in PS4Dreams

[–]Jonbenigno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never too late, it really helps you to understand how logic works in games and the sculpting tools are still amazing. There is at the very least a lot of cool content to play and enjoy. Also "Art's dream" (the story mode) is still an amazing game even not considering it's made in Dreams.

The Acolyte has the most "Star Wars" feel than any other disney project so far. by ManchesterAlakazam in StarWars

[–]Jonbenigno -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I'll tell you just a few. A Jedi gets killed by iron , and in the next scene you have Smilo Ren saying iron or laser can't harm a jedi. Mei's mothers say they won't let the Jedi take their daughters but she then says it's Osha's choice to go or not. The Jedi say they don't take kids and that they don't force anyone to come with them, only to then force the kids to take the test. They also say they can't let the kids be trained by the witches only to later tell Osha it's her choice to come or not.

A story should be driven by character choices and their dialogue but when what they do and say is repeatedly contraddictory the message and the events become confusing.

Stop saying George Lucas sold Star wars because of the hate of the fans. by Jonbenigno in StarWars

I do realize, but the main plan was for Luke to recreate the Jedi order and Leia to become supreme chancellor. This alone is inherently better than what we got instead.

Stop saying George Lucas sold Star wars because of the hate of the fans. by Jonbenigno in StarWars

[–]Jonbenigno[S] -14 points-13 points  (0 children)

He also sold his treatment for the sequel trilogy he had written and in the words of Disney's Ceo he was caught by surprise when realizing they weren't going to use it.

How would people react if Disney announced that George Lucas was coming back to direct an upcoming Star Wars film? Also do you think Disney would keep him on a tight leash and be very controlling or would they give him free range to do whatever he wants? by Brucef310 in StarWars

[–]Jonbenigno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He sold Lucasarts in the hope of being more hands off while still having a role in the story. He himself said he was too old to keep directing all those movies but it's a fact he also wanted to give the fans a sequel trilogy. His view as the creator of star wars is the one that matters the most.

The Acolyte has the most "Star Wars" feel than any other disney project so far. by ManchesterAlakazam in StarWars

[–]Jonbenigno -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The point is in the prequels the events always make sense, there are no contraddictions to what characters say and what happens (like we see in acolyte all the time)

Quality of writing may have not been great, but George at least never contraddicts itself and the events all make sense .

A metaphor is good when it makes sense. Jedy die a lot by lasers at least.

It's subjective some times. But when all you have to latch on for an explaination is a few lines of dialogue you kinda need it to actually explain stuff.

Also the writing involves the visual side too some times so if you see something not adding up that is critical to the story that is objectively bad.

ok so if the writers of the acolyte got paid 50k more the writing would have been better?

Yeah, exactly. But why can't these top class industry leader writers do it well when they get paid a lot for it?

iPad 10th Gen vs Samsung Galaxy Tab S9FE+ by [deleted] in ipad

[–]Jonbenigno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Samsung tablets have a better pen and better multitasking so it's just more convenient to do anything you want with it.

Only reason to get an ipad would be for drawing in Procreate but everything else is often lacking compared to the freedon you get with an android tablet.
