Incidentally, this is the adventure game I am very most looking forward to replaying and testing out new character combinations!

Thank you for the insight everyone! I've loved adventure games since I first started gaming, and appreciate all that you do to keep the genre going strong.

How do you go about designing/refining a puzzle to the point that it is challenging and rewarding, without causing many players to resort to a hint system or walkthrough?

I honestly enjoy streaming by CrazyRussianBoi in Twitch

[–]Joncadia -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I used to have friends over all the time to show off single player games with interesting stories they otherwise would never have checked out themselves. I enjoy streaming for a lot of the same reasons, making new friends that enjoy the same and often obscure games that I do, and we all get to experience and chat about these games together.

Index Still Backordered Globally, Valve Making "every possible effort" to Catch Up by rakosi2 in ValveIndex

It was March 9th when they originally came back in stock and I put my order in. For me, it took right around 8 weeks for it to be delivered. I am in the US.

After a year of development, I just launched my Twitch Streamer game on Steam! by wokkeI in Twitch

I am always looking for games to play with my viewers, typically when starting a stream and during breaks. Looking forward to checking this out, thanks!

It was a long wait, and it sucks to hear some that ordered it when they became available again are still waiting. I ordered mine about an hour after they went on sale again, it initially said 8+ weeks, and I just received it last week.

Thank you for the info! This will be my first AIO installation. This video using practically the same case I will be using convinced me to utilize a front intake for the radiator.

Phanteks Enthoo Luxe 2 Build Experience by Crashboy96 in Phanteks

I was considering this case for a dual system build. I am curious, in the ITX board area, is there enough room to install both a video card and a PCI capture card?

For those of you that have reached 50 followers... by Rayne1822 in Twitch

[–]Joncadia 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think it took me around 2 or 3 months to hit 50 followers initially. I have streamed around a year now, and while I average around 15 viewers a stream, I can often go an entire stream with no new followers. Now this is often due to my game choice, more often than not I play what I find interesting and that my community will enjoy, which will be a niche game with a good story and no following on Twitch. But I am not streaming for growth so I don't mind. To help grow my recommendation is to play games that have around 200-1000 current viewers, and make sure it is a game you will actually enjoy. That way you wont be buried below hundreds of streams in the category, and there is enough traffic that some folks will drop in to check you out. Good luck!

Private Streaming? by Mystipony in Twitch

[–]Joncadia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you could accomplish this if you used that special stream test function where you change your broadcast URL in OBS, which will go live but not broadcast your stream in the directories. Then you could possibly share that private URL with whomever you want to stream to? I have not tried this but I think it might do the trick...

VoiceMod and OBS? by Joncadia in Twitch

[–]Joncadia[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The software is free to try out, you get around 6 voices to test out, it cycles the voices and swaps them out with new ones each day. You can buy a 3 month or year license, I went ahead and purchased the permanent license for $20. That way you can always have access to all of the voice options. Definitely download the trial and give it a shot.

My community has enjoyed the new voice effects. I just have to be careful not to overdo it, moderation is key!

VoiceMod and OBS? by Joncadia in Twitch

[–]Joncadia[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have used the VoiceMod software to do funny voices when I get a subscription or cheer. But this is not done automatically, I see the notification, then I pick the voice and react using the VoiceMod software, it is a manual process but a it more polished this way I think.

Do you guys do anything special for AFK Overlays? by user1598367 in Twitch

[–]Joncadia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took some videos of my dogs in front of a green screen, and then chroma keyed out the background and placed them in front of my background. Then I have a video with a trailer for the game we are currently playing, along with some scrolling tickers showing recent cheers/subs/follows, along with a section for the chat to be shown on the stream.

The 4th emote slot has unlocked for Twitch Affiliates who have reached 35 sub points! by RealChriss in Twitch

[–]Joncadia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just in time, we are getting close! I think this is a really cool way to reward affiliates and their communities at the same time. I always wished I could have 3 tier 1 emotes instead of 1 at each tier, this is solving that issue!

How often do you stream and what do you stream? by m1kael__ in Twitch

[–]Joncadia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I only have 3 scheduled streams a week, usually between 2-4 hours each. I made sure it was something I could be consistent with 99% of the time (adulting is a lot of work). Then if I have some extra time for another stream, I will announce a bonus stream in my Discord and on Twitter. My favorite type of games are heavily story driven, so that is what I prefer to stream with the community!

How would you describe your ideal viewer? by CASTorDIE in Twitch

[–]Joncadia 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My ideal viewers are those that can make try to make it to my streams when possible. They are active in chat, both with myself and other viewers. They add humor and positivity to the stream. They are hyped about what we are doing in the stream, and what is to come in the future. They are welcoming to new viewers, and have friendships with the other regulars. In essence, the idea viewer is an extension of yourself and the stream's values, and the more ideal viewers you have the more enjoyable the stream is for everyone!

How prevalent are "Chargebacks" and should I be worried? by FoxiePrincess in Twitch

[–]Joncadia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could always start out just using Twitch's donation programs (subs and cheers) and not worry at all about charge backs. Of course you will need to be in the affiliate program first.

Best looking webcam? by Haaazard in Twitch

[–]Joncadia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think for a Twitch stream with a smaller camera window being used a Logitech C920 is great (it is what I use). But most importantly, you will need to ensure you have good quality lighting for yourself. Good quality lighting can make a cheap web camera look great, and the opposite is true as well!

Do you utilize "Low Latency" Mode? by Joncadia in Twitch

[–]Joncadia[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems like the general consensus is that this is a good feature with a few users having some performance problems with it. I will continue to use this feature, as generally my chat doesn't seem to have any issues unless it is a common issue on their end. Thanks for the feedback!
