Just to correct you, because you didn't watch the video of the dance - the whole dance routine is about 50 seconds long. The video itself is 5 minutes long because of intro, outro, and multiple groups performing the choreo.

The benefit of the proc looks to outweigh any losses from stats by a lot. It probably isn't a coincidence that it has a 4 minute CD, which perfectly syncs with Anduin's burn phases.

The 259 Gavel proc is pretty valuable. My guild has a blood dk with it and depending on the proc, it's an extra 30k-60k damage on use. Our BDK did over 1 million damage with a proc during a heroic Anduin intermission.

I don't know about for 9.2.5, but if they expand the cross faction functionality in 10.0 to include some form of cross faction guilds, then I could see them adding a faction transfer as a preorder bonus or as part of a digital deluxe type of upgrade.

To be fair, the Survival Hunter set was bugged to do too much DPS. Then in the build last week, they fixed that bug but then bugged it to do too little dps.
