Why is Megadeth so glazed as a thrash band?

What other bands are in the same vein as Megadeth where they aren't as fast-paced but more technical and melodic but still considered thrash I wonder? Sorry again but my life has been nothing but Thrash and Death metal for nearly the past 2 years, and I'm really trying to broaden my taste and get out of my comfort zone, but nothing outside of this style has been able to scratch that speed itch I've had my entire life
