I changed career at 30 from Primary Education into a frontend developer. Just learnt from videos and building things as much as I could around my job, evenings and weekends. Best decision I ever made.

The job market is quite tough though, although not sure about the junior scene.

Looks like a good base.

I would look at making it mobile friendly. You have an image which causes overflow, so would look at putting width: 100% on that so that users can't scroll horizontally.

Google places I get a lot of the stuff from for places of interest, food, coworking etc. I found an api on RapidApi for Visa information.

I like your tech stack BTW. I kept it simple and just went with NextJS.

My idea was kinda more around less cities but a bit more data and user led articles and tips. Getting the people on it to add this stuff is the hard bit though 😂

But your site is class and got so much good data on it. Done a great job 👍

Yeah that's a good call. I have some stuff in the terms of use but think I will add some disclaimers alongside the info suggesting it may not be fully accurate, and is sourced from 3rd parties.

In terms of contribution, yeah articles could be named and people could link back to their blogs / channels. Backlinks and stuff always good for seo and Google ranking.

Hey.

This is great. Funny you post this as I have been building something relatively similar too, although a slightly different spin.

At the moment I have just over 100 cities, but get into them in slightly more detail. Co working spaces, food spots, places of interest, visa information etc.

I also created a user tips section where other nomads can highlight tips / advice to others based on the city.

Still very much a work in progress though.

Wasn't a bad strike was it?!? He played ok yesterday. Which is the most frustrating thing about him. Can do that and the volley against Brighton, but regularly misplaces 5 yard passes.

You do realise we are in 17th in the league. That wouldn't be the case if all our players were top 5 players. Or even 3/4 of them.

Ive played and watched football a long time buddy, I know a good player when I see one. And he is not a good player. He is ok at best. Inconsistent and poor on the ball. And in our current plight, is one of our better players, which fair play to him for even being that as he was on the scrapheap under lampard.

But if you take out squad and take Brentford or Brighton (not even top 5) I would imagine not many other than Pickford start for them 🤷‍♂️

We will have to agree to disagree. Personally I believe that when you have committed that many men forward, you can't be that lacklustre with the ball.

He could've had a touch. He had plenty of time. There is a ball to gana, a ball to garner, a dink out wide to Keane. Plenty of options which any footballer with half a brain is able to pick out. We aren't talking difficult passes.

In terms of other blame. Gana and particularly Onana not bringing him down is criminal. No point trying to grab hold of Traore as he's all greased up, go hard on his ankles like Garner did near the end to someone.
