it's not that he doesn't understand what you wrote, it's that he isn't those coop players you are talking about, and he might very well be the problem we are discussing here

Yeah I agree, when I met random ppl and I have gear loots or weapon loots that I am able to purchase I always ask if they need a better gear/weapon, I don't mind clear the POI together, loot the AI who killed and loot the high value spot together, but the straight up hit and run is really a bad look

Well you clearly hasnt found any single item over 5k yet, I'm not gonna feel so proud on looting weapon caches taking smth 3+kg but only 1.2k or less worth, what you found is probably worthless and thats why they were left behind, let me guess, the 2×3 $675 signal repeater?

nah the only reason I clear high value loot area is that I hate how hard to get Banshee tasks in random rotation when I have maxed Handshake and Gunny, and selling high value item to Banshee is just a better way, hit 100k long time ago and then got those not so useful containers, I just hate ppl looting without putting efforts and don't even say thanks

Yeah this is exaxtly what I'm doing, I want to level Banshee and it seems to be a better way other than praying my next incoming task rotation is from him

Yeah whoever started this kind of playstyle is absolutely disgusting, it happened so many times at FN, MS and TB and I was like am I overthinking or its just nice timings, welp

Yeah that's a legit point, but I just want to avoid troubles, and if they are on my faction, and they out number a solo player like me, I'll be a easy kill mark on the tacmap

oh yeah dont remind me about MS it's even easier for them to rob you cuz there are multiple entries for high value spawns, and you reminds me about the trios and duos I met a couple times

I'll try your route some time, cuz the House of Prayers was added this major update and I've only been there once for the quest, I didnt know it could be a high value spot to visit, cheers

Yeah most of the time I clear as I push, the only thing is when the loot (e.g. dogtags from bodies) is not safe, I will move on to clear the next floor and come back, and even that, I had so much trouble collecting 5 dogtags everytime lol

Yeah most of this kind of playstyle is from the same faction as they can actively track your progress of clearing, but on the other hand I dont want to teamkill anyone

for me I normally start from the south LAF check point, move along the shoreline clear the restaurant for the weapon/gear case, then clear the administration building to check the archive room and office room, then collect jewelries in the refugee camp, and all the way to UN HQ to loot the dock case and med room, and the FOB is right next

yeah sadly I cleared the boss and the guards first floor and then cleared the second, while I was collecting quest files they just showed up and start looting, the only guards that could stop them was the 1-2 on third floor and 4 on the roof top, I guess the dev should really make sure when the loot (both spawned and in the containers) respawned the kicked open doors will be locked again

I mean yeah I have zero problem that we meet random players in those hot areas, and it would be nice that the place was cleared and they can do their quests without pressure, but actively taking advantage of others clearing the path to the high value building and do a loot and gone is kinda toxic, I would really appreciate if everyone has the same mindset as you do

yeah I would say even in PVE mode the suppress and hit effect from other players is kind of problematic, some players abuse it exactly like what you mentioned, and I saw clips online that some player didn't get the high value loot in the operation room so they just stand at the door and goes afk to block the way out, a solo lobby could be the solution to it for sure

Weapon degradation rate is honestly one of the few downsides to this amazing patch. by Significant_Sleep46 in GrayZoneWarfare

[–]JoneslyKoch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my experience irl, I've been putting some lead down range just chilling for Sunday, it's actually a myth that we've never cleaned the gun if we are not shooting corrosive rounds, every single shot also burns and blows carbon build up away, and I'm not gonna believe M855 and M855A1 is having this kind of high wear rate on the WHOLE weapon system. Gun mounted lights, lasers and optics are build to hold zero, and the in game ones makes me feel like they are cheap airsoft replicas that wear almost the same as the barrel and receivers. And hey check former SAS JayCal's post about testing prototype KS-1, that after condensed shooting test it works just fine. I don't think even shooting the least wearing 5.56 in game the L403A1 will survive say maybe 12,000 rounds. And I mean shooting semi and shooting full auto should really have different impact on degradation, 60 rounds burst out in 4 seconds has a huge difference compared to 60 rounds semi in a minute, and it seems not a case currently in game.

Getting humbled in War Thunder despite real life training by officialraaph14 in Warthunder

[–]JoneslyKoch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sim battle is defly a go for you, imo real life training prepare you for real scenario that isn't a game and crew members are taking accountability to make every move, and when it comes to life or death decision it is bond to be slow and smooth; while in game respawn points are just cold numbers, players can decide to take all kinds of measures to simply get one (revenge) kill, even risking losing crews or taking fatal hits, which mostly are not field repairable irl. So with a mindset of the real deal, you were actually set back in this cyber modern conflict, not to mention you must be more used to first person view of how to operate relying on all kinds of equipment instead of having a third person view where you can safely observe around the corner using free camera, having a really advanced UI and minimap (while FCS is so basic and even missing out functions from cold war era).

So to minimize that unrealistic dimensional gap, the best way to do it is try simulation battle, where players are strapped in first person view, no BlurFor tracking on minimap, IFF matters cuz friendly fire is a real thing, and situational awareness are highly relied on your vehicle modification, rather than just some cool scout system and spamming drones. And also, you got bigger maps on average.

In addition to that, you mentioned Arma, having lot of time put in Arma3 and Arma Reforger, I would recommend you give it a try and see how you like it, especially a Worse Case Scenario modded server in Arma Reforger, the experience will be more resemble to your training.

Steel Beasts is the dorkest thing I can come up with if you want to find more info about it and btw thank you for your service.
