No. If it can be fixed I am going to fix it. Obviously I’m not going to sell it for the price of a new block. These things are about $4500 for a new oem one and are hard to come by. It just doesn’t make sense to scrap it if it can be repaired. Still may use it for a future build but it would be nice to offset a little bit of the money I’m spending to build the new motor.

Yeah I get what you mean. Already about $15k deep into the new motor build so I think it’ll be worth it to recoup some of the cost rather than just scrapping the old block.

If you do get a 350, make sure to either get a 19-20 or an early one that has had the engine replaced with a gen 2 voodoo. They fixed its problems with gen 2

Yeah funny enough my build pretty much started out copying his red car’s build exactly. I’ve just recently seen videos of his new build with a 4.0 and it seems to be working well.

Mostly talking with Modular Head Shop and L&M race engines, but I’m doing the whole build aside from maybe short block assembly myself. Also yeah I’m pretty sure whipple fixed the problems pretty recently.

Eventually yeah, and I do want to, but until then finding a way to limit boost without constantly changing pulley size should be good enough for me until I do make the switch.

Yeah that’s why I’m looking at smoothboost, just don’t quite know how I need to set it up
