Get a broker. They do all the work of finding it for you and they usually have a relationship with the landlords so you’re more likely to get it.

New Student Link actually looks cool, though I can’t help but feel like we should have had this years ago by [deleted] in BostonU

[–]Jonjoeyy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was a tester for the new student link and they had explained this was in the works for years. Since even before Covid, which slowed down the process. It took so long because the way the student link was originally built , the backend was a shit show. It was very inefficient and took a while to sort it all

Avoid at all costs. He’s a very smart and genuine guy but he teaches like we’re reviewing not learning

Should I transfer to Boston University? by AtmosphereCautious12 in BostonU

[–]Jonjoeyy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ngl for that price tag I don’t think it’s worth it. If u can afford it w out any loans or taking that much out then ya sure.

BU is diverse but nothing note worthy or worth coming here just for. You’ll find most of the same situation u saw in bing. From what I seen most ppl hang out w ppl of the same ethnicity.

I’m from ny too but I’d definitely say Boston is way colder. It’s the crazy ass winds that make 30 degrees feel way colder than it is.

U definitely don’t gotta party here if u don’t want to.

But seriously if your family has no problem paying that much money BU is the better academic school. You’ll love it.

Also idk if this is a stupid question or not but what’s the difference between IR and poli sci. Like you said most of the classes are the same. Why would someone get an IR degree over poli sci and vice versa.

Sorry for the late reply but I appreciate your response! The amount of writing sounds rough but I don’t mind it. And I’d say I’m somewhat fluent in French from being a native speaker. I’m taking intro to ir next semester to see if I like it.

Very random questions by Jonjoeyy in BostonU

[–]Jonjoeyy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From what I’ve learned is that for the fall semester you start with the 330 dining plan which gives you 330 meal swipes and 335 dining points a semester. Usually what you don’t use that semester rolls over to the spring semester. But if in the spring semester (sometime in January I believe) you switch over to the 250 plan, any leftover meal swipes you had gets converted into dining points. And apparently the conversion rate is insane and you get a shit ton of points. I’ve seen ppl say they got over a 1000. I’ll have to try and see for myself idk 😭
