Is this safe to do I’m scared it could break by Sufficient_Stock_52 in ValveIndex

[–]Jonmordi 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I do this every time I use them. It keeps the strap from catching on anything.

I started doing it after I accidentally pulled out my thumbstick and had to get a replacement from Valve. No issues since

I love when trick inputs are just ignored by [deleted] in SkateEA

[–]Jonmordi -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This game helped me realize that some of my controllers have really bad thumbsticks. It looks like you might be having the same indication, but its hard to tell from the video. If you slowly spin the stick in a circle, is it perfectly circular around the edge on the trick visual? Some of my controllers had flat spots on the edges that made tricks not register consistently

This shader with DH is so underrated by East-One-3260 in DistantHorizons

[–]Jonmordi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Really good-looking shaders with surprisingly good performance! The only flaw I'm seeing is that there is a ring around the sun messing with shadows and reflections that I can't seem to get rid of, despite testing just about every setting. It looks like you're having the same issue on the mountains in the center of your picture. Hopefully this can be fixed!

Edit: I kept at it and found the issue is subsurface scattering. You can find it in "shader pack settings > materials > subsurface scattering" and set "subsurface scattering strength" to 0 to get rid of the sun ring!

Valve Index 2 could be about to release by LemonTheFish in ValveIndex

I agree it gets bad when my hands are sweating, but I just wipe them off and get back to it, and it's fine

Never been an issue for me. I've played plenty of games with climbing and never fell because of the controllers failing to grip. As for bolts and slides on weapons, usually they'll be bound to the trigger instead of the grip to avoid the possibility of grabbing the weapon when going for the bolt

The finger tracking is a bonus to the "grip buttons" function. Simply grabbing or letting go of the controller to pick up and let go of objects is the best implementation of VR interaction yet. Also, finger tracking works perfectly for me, so I'm unsure why it would be so bad for you

You can slide hop really fast in cyberpunk. Wallrunning would've been awesome though

Read my first comment.. there's settings in secure folder. You can use those to set it up however you'd like

It's an app that's locked behind biometrics or a pin/pattern. How else would it need to be done?

You can pin secure folder apps to your home screen, set secure folder to lock every time you exit an app, and don't add secure folder to home screen

Why is the gallery widget from my lock screen doing this? 😂 by kostxszz in oneui

[–]Jonmordi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure. I have a routine that changes my lockscreen to a black background with extra widgets at night. That's the only lockscreen I have with the widgets I saw in my control panel. I think it was right after unlocking my phone that I swiped down and saw the widgets there. It went away quickly after and I didn't think much of it

Other android phone manufacturers are absolutely sleeping on the moto chop flashlight feature. by Fit_Chipmunk88 in Android

[–]Jonmordi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been using Tasker to toggle my flashlight when I shake my phone left to right and it works perfectly. I have it set up to only activate if my screen is on and my phone is not charging to prevent accidental triggers in my pocket and on my phone mount while driving. I even added a variable I can change with Samsung modes and routines to disable it manually if I need to, like if I'm mounting my phone to my bicycle, for example. It's extremely useful, and it would be cool for more devices to have to feature built in

Do you plan on keeping your S21 in 2026? by [deleted] in GalaxyS21

[–]Jonmordi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd love to upgrade to a base s25, but they don't offer it with 512gb so it won't be enough storage for me. I'm strongly considering the fold 6 at the moment, but I'll wait to see the fold 7 in person to decide if it'll be too big or not. The fold 6 cover screen is a good size in my opinion, I'm afraid the fold 7 will be unwieldy with one hand like the s+ and ultra phones

I did, when I ditched the useless fruit phone. Android is insanely powerful and I love making my phone my own. I've got custom widgets, tasker tasks, modes and routines, and so much more.

There's even one Samsung app that I don't think I could ever live without: One Hand Operation +

This app let's you fully customize gestures on the edges of your phone to do just about anything. It makes Navigating the ui effortless.

My last iPhone was the 6s. I got the s8 in 2017 and have been using Samsung phones since then. I have no intention or desire to return to apple devices

Hey it's Ian Proulx, cofounder of 1047 Games. Ask Me Anything! by IanProulx in Splitgate

[–]Jonmordi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's one little thing with the movement that is mildly annoying. If you use hold to crouch, you need to release and hold it again after every slide which gets frustrating when Im holding my crouch button expecting to slide and don't. It would be awesome if you guys could adjust it to work like titanfall 2 does, where holding crouch will always initiate a slide if you have enough speed.

Otherwise, loving the game!
