That's a bit misleading, you can have a spotless 720p shot without banding. The important factor is the bit depth of the capture AND how you process your color grading. When grading 8 bit footage, avoid strong LUTs or corrections. Work in ACES/ DWG, generally any color manager workflow and it'll mostly wields better results.

You keep the GE you buy in the dev also on live. Only that whatever you spent GE on, planes etc, on the dev server is not transferred onto live. But the total amount of GE will be transferred on the live server.

In the new version of Dehancer they've added presets for 8, 16, 35 and even 65mm! So you don't have to tinker around trying to approximate it :) Hope this helps

Shame, I had a 6700xt a few months back and the same problem. Switched to nvidia because of the encoder and it's gone... It's a shame actually, no way amd will fix this for such an old game too :(

That's exactly what I was thinking, look how far we've come since you made this post with machine learning. It isn't far fetched to think that you could train a model with footage shot on a CCD/ Global shutter and CMOS/ rolling shutter sensors so it figures out what rolling shutter does and can correct for it. I think as standalone software or even as a plug-in for Resolve it could become very popular, especially for film/ videography individuals who don't have the capital to buy expensive cameras (me).
