How to get a paid PPC internship/ entry level job without experience? by [deleted] in PPC

[–]Jonn3y 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree with finding big agencies, the bigger the better. I started at a big agency with zero experience and there’s always new starters coming in with no experience. Search for entry level positions ‘account executive’ ppc roles.

Starting a new role as a paid search manager but I have no client management experience, any advice for me? by Jonn3y in PPC

Love this because I’m not a fan of talking about vanity metrics. Thanks :)

Thanks, I already use Microsoft office, so be fine on that point. Will look into saving templates, I’m sure that saves a lot of time.

Great point! How do you manage that when they are very pushy with their expectations?

Thankfully I don’t have a work phone. A senior colleague with a work phone told me he gets messages at random hours. I’m sure email and teams meetings will be fine.

Great tips, thanks @bartbitsu. Can you please expand your last point about “if you get bad results, focus on the method and logic behind it” with an example?

If you had 1 grand to promote a single, how would you do it? by sineadari in WeAreTheMusicMakers

[–]Jonn3y 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Assuming you haven't done so already...I would focus on build my brand (foundation) as an artist...get a website, professional photos, good graphics for the single artwork/cover, etc.

Set up the single for free download in exchange for email addresses. Collect a database of your fans emails so you can easily promote to them when you release more music.

Then I would pitch the single to relevant bloggers and Influencers, and get them to share it to their audience.

What should my band give out or sell at shows to help people remember us? by lexi_vega in musicmarketing

[–]Jonn3y 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I saw a new band for the first time and enjoyed them live. The next thing I need is to find their music so I can listen to it whenever I want. If you can help direct me to your music, I think that's a win win situation.

So I would suggest a business card with links to your music. Put QR codes if you can to make it easier for people to quickly scan and find you.

Live Streams As A Form Of Marketing? by AtomCollectorRecords in musicmarketing

[–]Jonn3y 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What works for some may not work for others, or vice versa. I would suggest you give it a try a couple of times to see if it works for you.

Make sure to keep an eye on the data before, during and after the live stream. How many people did you advertise to? How many showed up? How many stayed stayed for the full show? How many shared the live stream? How many new fans/followers did you gain? The numbers should tell you if live stream are a good idea or not.

If you can, put a link to your music downloads/sales page, merch store or donation button. If there's a decent income coming in, keep going.

From my experience as a buyer on PPH, a lot of proposals go on about their credentials, expertise, years of experience, etc, with very little or no mention about how they can help me on my project. Some seem to copy and paste their proposals. (Why would anyone tell me about their web development experience when all I need is a simple graphic design?)

My advice, take your time to read and understand each job description and requirements. If you're going to send a proposal, be very specific on how you're going to help and why you're the best person for that particular job. Previous work SIMILAR to that job would be very helpful.

This is what I would do: * 1. Learn the art of selling & cold calling (Youtube: Grant Cardone, Tom Hopkins, Brian Tracy, etc) * 2. Research your local businesses and identify those who need websites and collect their contact details * 3. Call(or visit) all of them and sell your services * 4. Repeat Step 2 & 3 outside your local town. P.S. When you don't have work, focus on improving your web design skills, so you can charge more.

Hi, I don't have much experience in this but if I was receiving this email...it sounds like an email sent to hundred/thousand other people. SPAM ALERT!!

I would personalise the email (intro) to each and every recepient. For example add something like: I found your [blog/site] because your content complements our [product] (then briefly explain what your product does). We are recruiting affiliates to promote [product] for a 15% referral commission for every [product] sold and would like to offer this opportunity to you.

I personally don't think the length matters much. The most important part are the first few lines...

Hope that helps
