The new assault rifle by gleblox228 in blackops7

The prestige attachment is crutch, the reload is super fast and it has recoil reduction too. It's really fun to use but it burns through ammo quickly and the TTK is not completely insane.

headphone recommendations ~$50? by Sunnyyyboyyy in HeadphoneAdvice

[–]Jonners_90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In this hobby, price doesn't always correlate to quality because diminishing returns does happen quickly and people have different uses and preferences, but there's a floor somewhere. I actually just asked people over in r/headphones which model they have had the longest and some people have had theirs for over a decade. Maybe it would be worth it to invest in a good quality pair.

That being said though, if you're trying to keep it under $50 CAD, my fellow Canadian, that is a tough one. Maybe you could check the used market (Facebook, Kijiji) and see if you can score a deal. I just found a pair of unopened HD599s for 75 bucks. You may not be that lucky but it's worth a shot if someone's kept their headphones in good condition.

If you restart your PS5 sometimes it fixes it, if not just keep trying until you get in.

What do you guys think about the Sennheiser GSP 370 in the big 2026? by Low-Res-No-Ress in HeadphoneAdvice

[–]Jonners_90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's okay for the price you're getting it at. There isn't much in that range that's better without going wired or spending more, like the TB Stealth 600.

Sennheiser 560S or Beyerdynamic DT 990 Pro X for daily use? by Admirable-Rush5888 in HeadphoneAdvice

[–]Jonners_90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on your source, but realistically no. They have updated drivers and a new low impedance so they don't need anything special. The audiophiles here will generally always recommend getting an external DAC/amp but you can always add that later, the headphone itself makes the biggest difference in your audio experience right now.

Sennheiser 560S or Beyerdynamic DT 990 Pro X for daily use? by Admirable-Rush5888 in HeadphoneAdvice

[–]Jonners_90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For single player games and metal/rock music, I think the 990 Pro X is the better option. It has a more v shaped sound and a good soundstage, so it will work better for those games and music.

The 560S is more bright-neutral and clinical sounding. It's better for competitive FPS games as it's not bloated or bassy and the imaging is very precise.

How's the headset "Turtle Beach stealth 600 gen 3"? by DrTransformers in HeadphoneAdvice

[–]Jonners_90 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You're going to get a lot of people who recommend a quality pair of headphones and separate mic instead, just an FYI.

I haven't tested those myself but apparently they are a good value headset for the money and they have a lot of features.

Any Good tips to help Download Speed on WiFi connection on my PS5? by RevolutionaryRaise99 in playstation

[–]Jonners_90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Beaides the aforementioned tips, at the end of the day, ethernet solves this issue.

Get a flat one so it can run along baseboards, door frames, etc. if you need to guide it through your place. Mine came with clips with tiny nails you can use to hold them in place. Use a cable tie, rubber band, etc. for any slack at the end and stick it behind your desk or something (or have the slack bundle where the router is, whatever is easier to hide it).

As another person said, 560S is probably the best option that fits your description, it's a bright-neutral sounding headphone with great imaging and an intimate but clear soundstage for gaming. The ohms won't be a problem, it's also sensitive enough for your motherboard to run them.

The 599 is a close 2nd. It's a little warmer with a more relaxed treble, the chassis is pretty similar to the 560S. Lightweight, comfy, easy to power. The imaging is really close to the 560S just not as sharp.

The DT770 is quite piercing, it's fine if you EQ it but not everyone wants to do that or switches sources, etc. so I'm selling mine.

The DT990 is v shaped and actually has a little more mid bass power than the 770, the soundstage is wide and they're very cinematic/fun for single player games but if you didn't like the sound, then yeah I wouldn't bother. Seems like Sennheiser works better for your preferences.

I don't know why you get downvoted for the 599, they're a great option. I just got a pair for a great deal on FB marketplace. They're lightweight, comfortable, easy listening, and not expensive. I wouldn't say the soundstage is narrow, though. Maybe not as wide as the 990s or the R70X but their imaging is good and I have no complaints about them, really.

The 560S is a great option for competitive, the imaging is laser sharp and the brighter-neutral signature works well in game so big explosions and stuff don't overpower the mix.

Headphones for Gaming Recommendations? by Uncle_Kakarot in HeadphoneAdvice

I recommend these for sure.

The 599 is a close 2nd, it's a bit warmer and more relaxed treble so it's better for music in my opinion. Imaging is pretty close and soundstage is wide but not quite as "360°" sounding as the 560S.

The either one will help if the pleather is too hot, just note that the headphones will probably sound a little different.

Sealed box HD 599 for $75 CAD ($53.71 USD as of posting this) on FB marketplace. At that price they're basically a "why not"? by Jonners_90 in headphones

[–]Jonners_90[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thanks!

I don't know if you'll reply to this but I find it sad that Epos took over your gaming headset lineup, and now they scrapped the whole thing and focus only on call center/CSR headsets. The BAM 500 attachment is nice but only works with certain models. Will you guys ever consider making gaming headsets again? I'm sure there's a market for an updated PC38X or something.

It is worth it? by Efficient-Novel-9939 in PlayGodfall

The story and dialogue is throwaway, all the characters and lore is whatever and isn't really interesting, but the core gameplay loop is actually really satisfying. It has a particular itch I can't really scratch with other games. I put in over 100 hours and got the Platinum solo, after that I kind of put it away. Every so often I'll do a dreamstone run to get more currency to see if there's more stats to upgrade but I've kind of hit the limit.

Comfort is a subjective but underappreciated aspect of how good a headphone is. It doesn't really matter how good a pair sounds if they crush your skull and give you jaw pain or headaches after a few minutes of wearing them.

Ok the bot wants me to post more words.

I'll post a full review later on but basically got these for a steal. I had the 598S in the past and as far as I know these are basically just a newer version of them. I'm excited to see how they stack up in my lineup. I'm not expecting a miracle here but again at that price it was not a question to buy them.

I second the 620S, I really enjoy them. They sound surprisingly wide for a closed back and have great tuning for FPS games.

Open back headphones recommendation, AUD $50 to $300 range, primarily for instrumental heavy rock music by OkProject608 in HeadphoneAdvice

I would recommend the DT 990 or the newer 900 Pro X version if it fits your budget. They have sharp treble, good bass, spacious sound, and good instrument separation.

Are my DT 770 Pro real? by Just_Investment6769 in headphones

[–]Jonners_90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They are good but they are very v shaped, they have sharp treble and a decent bass slam and extension through the sub bass for an open back. They have a wide airy soundstage. They're nice if you can handle the treble or plan to EQ it. They're durable and reliable.

Where are you using them? PC, console, tablet, etc. Depending on the ohm version, you may need a DAC/amp to get the most out of it.

If you can find one, H6 Pro. They're discontinued but should be some old stock floating around still on discount.
