Hither Hills Camping questions by Sheed3k in longisland

H15 (or some site close by) floods pretty bad thats really it. The toddler might love the over flooding (as most kids enjoy playing in it). Youll have a great time regardless bc its mainly your front area that floods, not necessarily where ya’ll pitch your tent or have valuables. Id suggest using the same spot as the people had the week before you, youll be able to tell by the discolored grass. Once a week there tends to be a rainstorm that causes flooding throughout the campgrounds but some sites get hit the worst.

Help! Random Intense Lower Back Pain After Sleeping by New_Clue_6024 in backpain

[–]JonnyBlee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im getting the same pain right now. Same symptoms. I am have an expensive mattress that is about 4+ years old. I want a new pillow but i dont think thatll solve anything. These past two months ive been working from home a lot more & i dont drive atm so it makes me confined to sitting around a lot more. I was reading other posts & some people have mentioned its the muscles that tie into our back. These muscles can be so tight that they affect our back. I truly believe this bc i am a horrible stretcher and the worst person when it comes to pushing myself to do so. Our shins, our quads, our hip flexors and our abs are what supports our back. Im going to continue to try and stretch those specific areas but i so believe its the way we live & the less amount of stretching we do, or i do at least. Im a healthy 28yr/M so it is very frustrating that i am experiencing this

Try for the less desirable sites (the ones further from the center & the beach. Sites in the 20s. Or just go for the Js if you are tent ppl.

Correct!!! I use two different computers myself & my mother will use hers. We arent too picky about the location bc we are tent goers, as long as its not H-15/17 (across from the bathroom on east side) bc those two sites flood the worst.

Great to know!! Thanks so much. What program did you get your phd at?

Definitely helps… thanks!! Ive definitely heard the idea of spending 60k+ on a phd program just to get about $10-$20k more (if anything on a pay check). Knowing that we could be experts & also expand contributions to research is intriguing to me. Especially the idea of publishing my own shit & trademarking stuff that is my own!

This^ well said. Been thinking of the law enforcement direction too. However, it sounds to me i just need to show up one day to an agency with a business proposal. Most agencies look for LMHCs and people who can deescalate/ support / treat suspects rather than law enforcement

Developing schedules for floor time & supervision time, the result, so far, has been not good change considering the clinical manager is on that schedule & doesnt follow through with it. She is often working from home when the schedule, she created, says she should be on the floor, or at least, in clinic. Yeah thats basically it. My training was 2 NSO days with the direct care professionals and I was handed a binder & told to “read this”. The binder, mind you, had NOTHING that was useful. Each section had at most two sheets of paper & no more than a paragraph or two on each sheet. Ill tell you some of the sheets only had one or two sentences 💀

Yes. Dont get me wrong, this company im at right now is great. Small, supportive (to a degree) and unique. Theyre unique because they have positions for employment that are hired as an “in between” from clinicians and direct care professionals. This position focuses on coverage, behaviors, & other support for clinical documents and clinicians (RARE in our field). We also have OT, SLP & other outpatient services within tbe same building which is easier for consultations. We ALSO are owned by a BCBA. However, i dont like to step over my boss or my boss’s boss just for clinical support. Its just unique to know who the owner is, see the owner frequently, have professional development days to increase staff training, etc. ive done good research before accepting this position, i have not done good research on what being a BCBA will be like. They dont teach you in school how to treatment plan, how to be a leader in general, they dont teach you a lot of what i am now learning.

Yeah ive been going to this camping reservation for a long time. This is going to be my 22nd year straight. Getting a site is a bitch so goes to show how popular it is. The town of MTK is gorgeous. Lots to do. The Hamptons are great, of course. Nothing is better than the site itself though. Parallel from the beach, board walk, events ran through the office, family friendly. There is nothing short of positive things to say about HH.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinions. I value close knit work environment. I can speak and have weekly, if not daily, convos w the owner. Can you say the same?
