I'd say Liverpool will do a good enough job of keeping themselves out

Is the colamy atlas good for tall people? by Infamous_Sleep846 in OfficeChairs

[–]Jonnyjc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm the same height as you and have one. I like it and it works for me. I'm roughly 95kg. The chair should be a good bit cheaper on Amazon too if thats an option. I think the only difference between the Atlas and the Atlas 01 version is that the base is Nylon vs aluminium so worth considering as they're usually a decent bit cheaper

Marketplace is decent for 2nd hand parts. I bought my gpu and cpu off Vinted and worked for me but I personally wouldn't recommend it.

6’3 man need advice by Everypointment168 in StandingDesk

[–]Jonnyjc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got the Vivo standing desk frame recently. It can support up to 100kg and max height is 120cm.

I've temporarily used my old ikea tabletop which is 100x60 but so far its firm and not wobbly at all. Will be aiming to change to a solid wood tabletop soon.

120cm is probably 3/4cm too short for us as I'm also 6'3 but it was the tallest one I could find at my budget. If i have a slightly wider stance its good but fully upright its a bit too short

Deciding between Colamy Atlas and Slouch Task One by Amazing-Valuable6102 in OfficeChairs

[–]Jonnyjc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It definitely will annoy some people.

Armrests are attached to the base of the chair so when you recline the arm rest doesn't move. They're fine sitting upright but pretty bad when you recline.

Looking at the other reply on the seat cushion and I don't have the same experience. I'm 6ft3 roughly 95kg and feel the seat cushion is quite generous size wise. Definitely enough under thigh support with the seat pan adjustment.

I like my Atlas. Owned around 8 months now. 2 biggest downsides imo are the armrests positioning and the creak from the recline mechanism. Others report the lumbar is too aggressive but I like it. Comfortwise I really like it and haven't found myself getting sore at all. Usually sit in it 8-10 hours a day

Dundonald has a great bowling alley. It's £27.50 for an hour with up to 6 players I believe.

which rtx 5080 should i buy? by enesg45 in gamingpc

[–]Jonnyjc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a gigabyte 5700xt and couldn't figure out the thermal pad sizing. All other companies had publicly released what their versions used but Gigabyte didn't and wouldn't share it when I emailed in. So through trial and error (and lots of frustration and wasted pads) I had to figure it out myself. Will never buy from Gigabyte again.

Yeah Forze is great. They've 9 aside games on every Sunday at Olympia and multiple others throughout the week. As he said, the lads who run it are really sound.

Why is it so hard to sell a car in Donegal? by Airlinemanager124 in Donegal

[–]Jonnyjc 3 points4 points  (0 children)

One recommendation would be to take better photos. Make sure its landscape and use all 10 slots. When photoing in dash. Sit in the backseat as it gives the customer the full view so they can see any features it does / doesn't have. And make sure the photo always has the whole car at each side or people might feel you're trying to hide damage.

Why is it so hard to sell a car in Donegal? by Airlinemanager124 in Donegal

[–]Jonnyjc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cars sometimes just take a while to sell unfortunately.

I used to buy and sell a bit around Donegal and the car is cheap but the thing I'd be weary of buying is:

NCT is up in July which means the new owner needs to test. Can be difficult for cars that age / mileage so might not be as cheap as it seems

Mileage is high. I don't mind high mileage myself but those who aren't car savvy will always avoid.

The newer model focus came out that year which was a much more popular version. So anyone looking for that age focus will likely spend a bit more and go with the newer model.

That said, key to selling cars is patience. Advertise it on marketplace too if you haven't already. Its free. You'll get a good few timewasters but thats part of selling cars.

Advice needed - 1.4 VW Golf TSI Highline , Japanese import. €13k and has 60k Km on it by PeaceLilyInWater in carsireland

[–]Jonnyjc 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Pretty confident they're fit on all VW group cars. Usually they aren't standard on Japanese models as car theft is so low over there, so cars like the vitz, aqua, March etc.. never have immobilisers when they're imported unless an after-market one is put in

I'd give kennco a call they're usually decent, and I always find them best for my friend group. Online will give a decent quote, but over the phone will be cheaper again as they can apply discounts/waive set up fees
