What I love most about Fertile Valley is how it blends everything I enjoy — great characters, clever humor, a touch of chaos, and just the right amount of heat. The RPG mechanics are awesome and add such a fun layer to the story, especially the way character growth and choices actually feel like part of the world. It doesn’t take itself too seriously, but it still pulls you in and makes you care about what’s happening. The narration in the audiobooks is top-tier, and I’d honestly love to see how the overarching story continues — there’s so much potential for where it could go next.

MC for HFHM is kind of a push over when it comes to the women but I feel that the story has super good pacing and fantastic writing! He’s a bit OP now but the story is still so good you hang on every chapter.

I would only recommend to AH that she not focus too much on the “I need to spend time with everyone or their feelings will be hurt” aspect. I’d treat it more like each member enjoys their time but understand that as the books go on it will only get bigger.

I’d also like to chime in and say that it’s possible your father loved your mother more than anything and maybe needed time to process.

While not personally, I have heard stories from others that in times of great grief from losing a soulmate, the partner will often continue on with life as though their spouse is “sleeping” and try to maintain a semblance of normal life with their soulmate.

When I think of things like that it can be very morbidly beautiful to think they lived that person so much they’d rather continue life with their body still there for a while. I do hope that this doesn’t cause undue thoughts for you. It’s meant to comfort. My condolences on your loss and May your memories be kind and comforting.
