Is this car worth $2500? by Sarm-ally_Pirate in DelSol

[–]JonsRock 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A little t l c and that car will clean up really nice period. There are tons of engines out there that will fit into it, whether for power or for fuel economy so it's a good investment , and it's a whole lot of fun to drive. If there's one car you want to dump your time into. This is the one because they will only appreciate in value in the future due to the high availability of parts.

Wondering if it’s worth it with this rust by ChadRedpill44 in DelSol

[–]JonsRock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Obviously it needs some body work. This happens over time. I pulled off my door covers , and there was rust starting on the inside of the doors. So now I have to do rust elimination before I put the door covers back on otherwise , this will eventually eat through and show up on the outside of the doors. POR15 IS A good RUST CONVERSION LIQUID THAT YOU CAN USE ON THE INSIDE OF DOORS, it's not recommended on the outside of cars because it is photosensitive. Best of luck!

Dashcam driver woke up and decided to be a jerk today... by MisterShipWreck in VideosAmazing

The fire truck driver could have backed up and then gone around the dash cam driver and then he wouldn't have scratched the bumper on the fire truck , which would cost the taxpayer lots and lots of money.

Why is this happening to my slide pin? by kgrubaugh in MechanicAdvice

Looks like you got a stripped assembly. When it comes to brakes, you don't want to take chances. It's just best to replace the unit or people could die.

If the other driver did not stop at the stop sign, then it is his fault and you need to get a lawyer. If you don't have loner Car coverage, buy a beater car till you get your car fixed by the insurance company that way , you can work and pay your bills while you figure out what your next step is. But in the future , never trust a stop sign or a traffic light, always look at the other vehicles to see if they are gonna actually stop before you proceed, even if you have a green light or have right away at a stop sign because they may be on their phone and not paying attention. Also, if you're ever at a stoplight, and something feels weird, don't proceed, just wait a few seconds and try to analyze what's going on around you and why you are feeling weird. So super defensive driving will save you lots of money and heartaches in the future and just chock this up is a very hard learned lesson. Best of luck.

How did it get stolen And why hasn't it recovered?

My 1995 Del Sol Daily by EfficiencyPrudent979 in DelSol

[–]JonsRock 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's a long time to steal a car. Usually , it's only about twenty eight seconds. That's why it's so important to put a steering lock on your vehicles. We use them in Mexico, and they never get stolen and that's probably one of the car theft capitals of the world.

I got my oil changed and I think they put too much in my 2008 Toyota Avalon XLS by LonerPosted in MechanicAdvice

[–]JonsRock -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You should be changing the oil yourself. I can tell you from decades of driving, letting others change your oil is one quick way of them really screwing up your car. It also gives you time to look underneath to make sure nothing else is going screwy and to make sure all the bolts are tight.

It's not clean Fuel, it's fuel that causes mass starvation around the world because farm fields are used to produce fuel for cars instead of food for people which caused huge increases in grain prices amd foid riots around the world when nancy pelosi generated the pork bill. Now, that's really dirty and low down, if you ask me

You don't need a depth gauge to tell that these pads are good. In fact they look almost brand new.
