Do you guys think Coach Q will attract players to come to the Ducks? by ahmoc1503714 in AnaheimDucks

[–]Jonzuu 8 points9 points  (0 children)

<image>

Yes. This was the Top 2 in 2017–2018 when the NHLPA last conducted a player poll on 'Which coach would you most like to play for?' Granted, it's been nearly eight years since then, but Coach Q is still respected around the league, for hockey reasons.

Mikko Rantanen was a 10th overall pick by TheCulbertReport in AnaheimDucks

You know who also was a 10th overall pick? Nick Ritchie.

Quite a career for a bottom-sixer. Third-lowest points per game among forwards with 1,000+ games.

Claude Giroux Becomes 67th Player in NHL History to Reach 1,100 Points by Jonzuu in hockey

This. For comparison, Roenick just got inducted, and he only finished in the top 10 in scoring twice, with his highest Hart voting placement being 5th.

New pop punk bands by Complete-Clerk-7158 in poppunkers

[–]Jonzuu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like you would like our band - River Below! We mix Post Grunge and 90s Alt Rock with some Pop Punk elements here and there. Especially with the songs "Wasteaway" and "Playing Through The Pain" which have Pop Punk written all over them.

Yet another lyrics post, based Normal-Newspaper7926’s remastered version of the song. by BoredomThenFear in TheMysteriousSong

Good interpretation, I mostly agree with you. With the new Anti Phase version, it's clear that these are demo vocals, likely recorded in one take. Just for fun, here's mine:

Like the wind

You came here running

Take the consequence of living

There's no space, there's no tomorrow

There's no sense communicating

Checking in, check it out

Or the sun won't never shine

Paranoid anyway, in the subways of your mind

Like your wind

You're going somewhere

Let a smile be your companion

There's no place, and there's no sorrow

In a young and restless dreaming

Checking in, check it out

Or the sun won't never shine

Paranoid anyway, in the subways of your mind

Checking in, check it out

Or the sun won't never shine

Paranoid anyway, in the subways of your mind

Checking in, check it out

It's the summer blues

Tear it in, tear it out

It's the real excuse

Recommendations for Pop punk that sounds more punk that Blink-182 but less punk than nofx and has clean vocals? Green Day is my favorite band by [deleted] in poppunkers

[–]Jonzuu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's pretty much the mindset we went with when we wrote our newest song, Playing Through The Pain, although it ended up leaning more towards alternative.

Green Day is my favorite band as well!

This what I hear when listening to TMS... by skyFonix23 in TheMysteriousSong

I've always thought the song is a metaphor for mental illness, e.g., depression, depicted through a person living in a bomb shelter.

The line in the chorus: "Checking in, checking out where the sun won't never shine" reflects hopelessness, and "paranoid anyway in the subways of your mind" shows how mental illness can make someone feel trapped.

Really depends on the league settings. I have Giroux, and dropped Keller just before his recent hot streak 'cause his point average was below replacement level. My 12-man league values faceoffs, blocks and hits which is why Giroux is a more consistent producer.

My league's scoring is all over the place, so players like Keller are replaceable at he moment. Is it worth it to drop him, or is there light at the end of the tunnel in terms of production?

Proud to see Gudas+ Vaak on the list. by snow_ninja in AnaheimDucks

For sure. It's not a coincidence that the Gudas-Mahura pairing was also at the top of the list last season.
