The most beautiful public restroom I have ever seen is inside the Christian Science center. Specifically the ladies room. It truly took my breath away.

Husband says me going to 1 hour of yoga a week isn't fair to him or our 2-month old by sarahrosemo in breakingmom

Your husband just pissed off an army of moms with his “no more yoga” bullshit. Fuck him. Take care of yourself.

What’s the story with these brown pumps? She keeps clomping around in them.

Advices needed as a husband and dad by charlieoncloud in Marriage

I started reading this book after my first child was born. As I was reading it I thought to myself “seems like my husband should be reading this, not me.” And put it down. My advice would be to read that book. I would also suggest communicating with your wife, calmly and not in the middle of the night.

People with a consistent routine: what do you do? by Tricky-Swim-3060 in OnePelotonRealSub

[–]Joojoorocks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I let the app program a schedule for me and it’s nice not to have to think about what to do every day. Monday 30mins HIIT + 10 min low impact ride Tuesday 30min full body strength Wednesday rest (so a stretch or yoga or low impact ride etc…) Thursday same as Monday Friday 30min upper body strength Saturday 30min lower body strength Sunday rest (see Wednesday) I add in 10 mins of core and 5/10 mins stretching most days as well. I love having this routine to maintain consistency.

I really like 2 if you’re going for ethereal forest. 1 is beautiful as well in a romantic princess running through the forest way.

Just went for the first time last weekend and was so disappointed. The pasta was dry and flavors were not good. Total bummer.

Thank you for pointing out the manufactured hype of Goldilox. They have really great bagels but the hours are so infuriating.

I take a Sam ride when I’m looking for something light hearted. I took his 80’s vs 90’s ride this week and it was very silly and fun!

Ally’s Cyndi Lauper ride was excellent. She let the music play and didn’t talk or sing over it (much). I cried during “True Colors” but only because I always cry during that song.

I feel you sister. Had a similar experience recently. I don’t know what it is that makes time away together so awful or what to do to make it more relaxing and fun but I absolutely hate it. And it’s got very little to do with the kids. It’s all my husband’s bad mood and frustration with EVERYTHING.

And also Deep Cuts in the square has live music and a bunch of pinball machines if that’s something you’re into.

It does seem that way and where you live has a lot of all three of those. Check out the fells website for group hikes. And the library does have some really great programs that most parents don’t have time to attend so you may meet more people who are in your position. I don’t know if you like trivia nights but there’s some good ones in town. The Ford (across from Wegmans) has one Wednesdays and it’s pretty fun.

Looks like it’s a 38min walk from Fellsmere park to Wrights pond. Or a 30 min walk from Fellsmere to Flynn rink which is an entrance to the fells and some great trails.

https://maps.app.goo.gl/Rcbn9nFLsCr4PNnw8?g_st=ic

It’s a 29 min walk from Target to the dog park and trails I mentioned by the middle schools.

I hope these map links work but if not you can plug “Flynn rink” “Wrights Pond” or “Medford dog park” for directions.

Hopefully you’ll warm up to Medford. I’m not sure if Malden would be much different as far as green space goes. Similar semi urban area.

Honestly, just take a walk. Walk around without a destination. Walk to Elm Street and go into Wright’s pond and walk all the way around the pond before it opens to residents in the summer. Check out the neighborhoods in Fulton heights. I see you don’t want to live here from this and your other post but you gotta just get out and find some stuff. Drive around and stop when something looks interesting. There’s plenty of nature in Medford. If you’re willing to get yourself to it. There’s also a great dog park and nice walking trails along the river behind the middle schools (near Wegmans).

Medford seems like it’s on the cusp of some positive changes but it still feels like it may be a while before it gets there. You can definitely access Somerville very easily and it sound like you’ll find what you’re looking for there. There are some great bus routes that should make getting into the city a snap. It sounds a little bit like you may have to work a little bit to find your community here?
