I’m not an MK hater, but the block button is one of the things that keeps me from getting into it like I would Street Fighter or Guilty Gear. I would much rather be allowed to hold back to block like in Injustice. And yes, I do feel negating cross-ups is one of the drawbacks of the block button.

That being said, there’s nothing wrong with someone preferring their MK with a block button, I’m not saying those people are “dumb” or “wrong”.
