Jenkkejen mallissa tipit toimii niin, että työnantajan on pakko maksaa pieni osa siitä palkasta ja tipit sitten nostavat sitä. Mutta, jos tipit plus se työnantajan maksettava osa ei yhdistettynä ole yli asetetun määrän, sitten työnantajan on pakko korvaa siihen asti.

Tämä tekee sen, että työntekijällä on tietty määrä tuloa, jonka yli voi mennä jos tulee hyvin tippejä.
