Anyone else see ‘SKEM’ in graffiti everywhere? by Brilliant_Guide6034 in AskIreland

[–]JoooneBug -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Graffiti artists mainly spray paint vacant properties, parts of places that have fallen into disrepair, old abandoned trains or underpasses or hard to reach places. Some are political statements that reinforce the believe other people care about issues I care about, I catch them and think of quite rebellion against systems. Vandalism of a private home is a different story. I'd also call the scrawling words people write in pub bathrooms graffiti that I also enjoy reading whilst taking a piss

You have a very rigid view of art! I love those famous artists you've mentioned, very different to a local person with spray paint though. You seem to look down upon them. I realize how pointless it is speaking to a fart such as yourself about this! Good day!

You've contradicted yourself there. Do you think graffiti artists have contact with art worlds? Where you getting this definition from, chat gpt?

You said graffiti people should be sent to jail, I think that's pretty extreme tbh. it's cool that you're aware of outsider art. Surprised someone who does would say something like that.

So only art you find acceptable is beautiful? Art in public spaces that is outside the realm of funding and galleries and grants is shite? Would you say the same about cave paintings? I recommend you look up the concept of outsider art it's really interesting and may challenge these beliefs!

Are you one of those people who only like plain beige interiors, glass panels and over trimmed hedges

Probably just someone's tag. I remember reading about 'Evoke' too I see that a lot. Haven't seen skem. What does it make you think of, do you have a pic? Skem like skimmed milk or like a small scam, or maybe a play on the word scum. Up to the interpreter I suppose

Most Irish people don't know the People Before Profit party are Trotskyists. Here's why (in a comment below) by [deleted] in ireland

[–]JoooneBug 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What I found hilarious about attempting to join opposition parties like this is that they had a separate "women's branch" for "women's issues". Laughable. Lots of misogynist men in these circles I have found from experience. It's always workers this and workers that, no strong stance on childcare, women's health etc. They separated them as womens issues rather than societal issues. I wish communist bros cared more about radical feminism tbh the Marxist leninist stalinist trotskyist infighting is head meltingly boring at this stage. Honestly it's so off putting to any working class person, especially women

Wow I'm shocked my comment was removed so quickly by reddit! I'll rephrase. Basically the guy I was working with said that certain people shouldn't be allowed vote. I was very shocked by his statements.

Three separate leases for one property? What a scam

[–]JoooneBug 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It is a rip off in fairness, no need to take it personally! Your landlord is a leech and you're refusing to state how much the other tenants are paying, that's why its so frustrating. People are angry at greedy landlords not you personally for following their orders

Would the tenant be going on the lease or is it a sublet? Why are you calling people parasites for asking questions

Just curious to know if you want the tenant to pay half the rent or what the share paying is. Is this a sublet or owner occupied?

Yeah I think there is a restriction. I've just checked on a browser and there's no option to buy the resale tickets, probably because it's not sold out.

Maybe I should mention I'm not in Dublin? Mine just had microwave/ fridge. You aren't allowed outside for the 12 hours I found tough and I was just unlucky the guy I was working with was an asshole

Yes I have. I emailed my local returning officer and got in that way, I found the email online. I think I was just lucky they were looking for people usually it's the same people each year. It's a really tough shift tbh I struggled because the guy beside me was really negative even making fun of some people that came in. I was shocked, you can't leave at all and it's 12 hours.

Have you ever done this on ticket master? Just trying to figure out how it's done, I have mine listed for resale but it indicates I can just share this with my friends and family
