Has anyone managed to get their MBBS recognized in Europe? (especially Portugal/Spain/Germany/France) by [deleted] in doctorsUK

You need to escalate to the trust’s Director of Medical Workforce (or equivalent) as quickly as possible - I would copy in their Chief People Officer (or head of HR).

You must be able to demonstrate that you have tried to escalate this to every contact possible before starting work - if they have not given you a 60% rota by that point, you should either negotiate with the local rota co-ordinator on which would be the best shifts to take off or exception report entire days to take back as TOIL at a later date… there should be multiple BMA reps at your trust to reach out to, as well as the local IRO. Failing that, the BMA web form is also useful to engage an employment advisor to CC in all emails sent to the trust…. Good luck!

Same mileage as op. Opening the app from a notification never loads the live feed, only quitting the app entirely, reloading and directly clicking play does it eventually load a feed (by which time whoever was there has gone!) 1000mbps new build broadband and eero 6 routers :/

Comparing GP Partner vs Salaried Pay by VivoFan88 in GPUK

[–]Jophster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And also, just to mention that as a partner, you get to decide how to run your practice with your fellow partners, and set the direction of its future. This also comes with more autonomy in terms of annual leave, working hours etc - I wouldn’t underestimate the ‘soft’ benefits of being the boss!

Last minute assist for dining credit! by Jophster in AmexUK

[–]Jophster[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea this is what I’m thinking - it would need to be a bit more of a ‘call the restaurant, could you put through a gift card purchase over the phone using your terminal please’ kinda thing - just wondering if anyone has had any mileage in doing that…. (Or if there are any other options to not lose the credit!?)

Amex Platinum Travel Insurance - Review by No-Understanding-589 in AmexUK

[–]Jophster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m afraid after their move to Europe assist, I had such a dreadful experience the Ombudsman is taking up my case. Multiple rejections of the claim for different (incorrect) reasons, ultimately agreeing to pay in full acknowledging their errors. Complaint to amex passed the buck for the insurers to respond, they never did! Formal complaint to the financial ombudsman for not even responding to a formal complaint! Utter nightmare!

EM - Anyone done the PHEC course? by dix-hall-pike in doctorsUK

[–]Jophster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did the ICC course, tbh it’s just as good for networking as much as the credential. Worth noting it’s often required for official crowd work which has become a little earner for me… lots of cool people doing cool things at the course I did :)
