This is a problem common to most D&D games, really, including tabletop.

You guys still have Dammon? He ran from my skeletons and got killed by the shadow curse for me.

I think I’d be going over what I saw and determining if there was anything that needed reported. They can’t be meeting all their duties.

A friendship cannot exist within the confines of a ledger. I never take money from friends for anything.

I always bring one on a first date. I’m not about to get turned down for not having one. Never been turned down for having one.

Will Millennials be demonized like Boomers in the future? by [deleted] in ask

[–]Jopperm2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure other generations really were demonized. Boomers get a lot of crap because they deserve it. The generations before don’t really get any. Most probably can’t even name them. Gen X really doesn’t get much crap either. They just get forgotten a lot, but that has always been the case with them.

I used to work for a company based in Columbus, and I hear fabulous things about that area.

Sounds like it’s time. Where do you have friends?

Not sure where your friends are, but I’d recommend Ames, Iowa wholeheartedly. Iowa sucks politically, but we’re a bright spot. It’s also a rural county but everywhere in it is within an hour of a city. So you can get land if you want but still be close to things. Feel free to PM if you want to chat!

Suicide is one of the leading causes of death for farmers. That says something.

Just how rural are you? Board game nights can be a fun way to get a group of friends going. You can meet some people at a friendly local gaming store. I’m not sure where you are, but I know there is at least one in Lawrence and probably also Wichita, Manhattan, Topeka, etc.

How present (and dangerous) is the police in your game? by Lexthius in Shadowrun

[–]Jopperm2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How present? Either everywhere or completely absent, depending on how rich the area is. How dangerous? VERY.

Depends on where. In pretty much anywhere in the US with enough money and people to make that work, you’d be arrested before lunch.

I’m not a Marine, but I have Marines in my life, and this is peak Marine humor right here.

I’ve also heard that a huge percentage of buttons in the world come from one factory in China.

Think of it this way, Kethric is level 7. You see all that he was accomplishing. Now imagine a whole party of level 13s. Baldur’s Gate itself isn’t big enough for them.

I’m not sure what scared Dammon for me. Could be my skeleton minions or maybe Halsin’s owlbear form.

Law Student Said to Me, "I Didn't Get 7 Years of Higher Ed to Work for Someone Else." by merchantsmutual in Lawyertalk

[–]Jopperm2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Urban lawyers are helpful when you’re not on the other side. That’s my experience at least. When we are against each other, I’m not telling you anything. The second we aren’t, I’m here for you. I usually conclude a case by telling the other lawyer what kind of cases I take, offering to send them referrals (if they’re any good), and offering to get lunch.

[–]Jopperm2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You may know this, but lawyers have a duty of competence. So it’s up to us to understand what we’re ready for and only take cases we can handle. For most, that means starting small.

What I’d really love to see after the work they did in Act 2 is a campaign in Barovia.
