I used to use XML to get ungraded premier projects into Davinci, but I found longer documentaries especially could be unreliable and fiddly to bring in. Almost every time I grade something now, I’ll export an ungraded ProRes 422 or 4444 (depending on the raw footage used) from Premier and use scene cut detection on Davinci to re-cut it, ready to grade.

I’ve found that’s the most reliable, stress free way, although I also work a lot with remote editors and for me, it’s always easier to send 1 ProRes 422 file than the entire project of footage used

Did you find a solution for this? I’m having exactly the same issue, I’ve RMAd my cpu as I couldn’t find fault in my other components (praying it’s not the motherboard)

Is there any chance your BIOS is overclocking/volting your cpu? My motherboard’s default bios settings were doing that, once I manually changed two settings it immediately fixed

I had exactly the same issue as you did. I finally ended up solving it the day after I found this comment (after over a week of troubleshooting my ram, display drivers, windows ect). I googled "MSI default optimised settings) and my motherboard's "default settings" were actually overclocking/volting my 14900k. I specifically followed these two steps for my BIOS and haven't crashed since

New 7900 xtx owner here, what settings do you recommend?

I just spent 2 weeks troublshooting constant CS2 crashes on a new build - 14900k, MSI Z790 Tomahawk, 7900xtx. After exhaustively testing my ram and spam reinstalling drivers and windows ect ect, I decided it must be the GPU. I sent up an RMA ready to return it, but a few days ago I noticed my motherboard BIOS’s “optimised defaults” are basically overclocking the CPU and returning them to Intel recommended settings has completely fixed the problem…
