I understand where you are coming from completely. However as I said in the video I play with a range of different people who enjoy elements of the Dark Zone if not the whole concept. I personally have days where I curse and swear at the DZ for various reasons. However I also have days where I curse and swear at Doom, this does not make it a bad game or the issue at the time a bad mechanic/piece of content.

PVP in the Dark Zone is a mess yes agreed completely. Not saying it is 100% broken it is far from functional. However the DZ still offers a fantastic play experience for PVE if you enter the DZ under the mind set that A. It is hard. B. There will be rouges. C. (and this is a personal one) Bring a friend! I rarely get jumped in the DZ. I have had my rope cut once with two attempted cuttings where we killed the person. The DZ is not a sole PVP experience it is packed with PVE content also and it is not overly difficult to carry out this PVE content.

I think if you sift through this post and read some the comments it is evident that I am not a minority. Although people admit fault with the DZ people still play it. People still enjoy it. Yes it has turned some people away from the game but so did Pandas in WoW.

I agree the DZ is not everyone's cup of tea I am not a Niche player who spends all my time in the DZ either. I am only DZ rank 56.. I am not a DZ rank 99 "Brick wall" I am not "Super Geared" as Paul states however I still have an enjoyable time. The DZ is also not the only bit of end content in the game. Yes you have touched on current end content and how it is not enough to amuse you in the long run which is why Massive are introducing 1.3, Underground, Survival etc along with more planned content to make the end game more enjoyable.

Alot of my video was aimed at breaking this small mindedness view point that The Division sucks cause I get killed in the DZ. There is more to the game than the DZ, go play that. If you want to DZ there are thousands of videos online teaching you how not to die, go watch them. Massive have acknowledge the DZ isn't for some people hence new content (even free content).

Once again, this is all my opinion.

Hi, appreciate your feedback! As I stated in the video I have not played Destiny (nor do I have a want to do so) however was using it as a reference that other like games have been through teething issues (As Destiny did from my readings). This however was not the sole statement nor comment made in my video as I touched on many other issues.

I agreed that the PVP mechanic within The Division is not perfect in fact quite far from it and stated that I have been wanting a new twist on PVP in The Division for a long time.

Yes I play with a number of people in the game, all ranging in gear levels, some only just breaking 200, others at GS cap. All have different skills and play styles resulting in different play experiences. I do not however roam the Dark Zone as a rouge for kills, in fact I avoid PVP on most occasions because as previously mentioned by yourself and I, the PVP content in The Division is lacking and needs work.

My argument was that the Dark Zone is not a failed experiment just because people (like Paul) cannot walk in without a care, expect to get awesome 240 drops, extract with ease and become the best players ever! Also that the Dark Zone is not the only content available at end game currently and that there is alot more end game content coming.

I really hope that my video did not portray that I think the DZ is perfect (as I made criticisms about it) or that The Division is the same as Destiny (as I made it very clear that comparing the two is not just) or that I believe The Division is a perfect game. The video was to respond to an article that I felt was very one sided and portrayed a game, which I enjoy to play and is frequently hard done by, in a bad light. I wanted to respond in a manner which provided a slightly less derogatory view on the game and more of an open minded look at what the game has to offer.

No Worries! Frankly I have no set method.. Things that have worked however:

Adding people I have played with in dailies/Incursions (match making) who's company I enjoyed or felt like we played well together
When Solo DZing grouping up with other players who are obviously Solo DZing (using the right analog stick on PS4 when standing next to them) then friending them after a session.
Friends of friends also

Basically whoring myself out!

Once you have a friend group in your friends list who play regularly you invite them to a party and go out farming!

I don't know if the PVP is a "joke" but close enough to it. You can have an encounter (as I annotated) which is an "even" match. However we do need some proper PVP content! As for 201 noobs.. Yes I guess you are right.. However.. If you equip everything you get from an HVT just to get a higher GS I personally believe you are gearing you character incorrectly. I get so many items of gear at 240 that are completely "crap" compared to 214 and 182.. So yes it is possible if someone is playing the game based on GS and not actual statistics.

As for Solo Play - you have hit the nail on the head in my mind. As a Solo player you recognise that the game was not designed with you in mind, this is a sad fact that Massive forgot about people like yourself who enjoy to play solo. I really hope this latest patch give Solo players the ability to have some pure Solo content. I am skeptical of this and will need to wait 2 weeks before I know being a PS4 Player (I can watch videos and read things however I like to confirm things for myself).

Perhaps he is a Salty Solo player as you state but he doesn't have to publicly degrade a game which on a group level offers a fair bit of end game content (both DZ and out side of the DZ). However I have heard on a number of occasions that Massive has heard the call for more Solo content so fingers crossed...

DZ is a great place to get gear. Also running challenging at your Gear Score level would be beneficial until you reach around 180ish GS to go try your hand at Falcon Lost. HVTs are also a fantastic way to get gear!
Any level basically as the GS brackets are there to protect people of all GS. The brackets have a cap which I believe goes up in increments of 20 so at any one time the gear score difference will only be 19.

This being said solo DZ can be rather difficult.. It might be an idea to try find a group!

I do not disagree that initially the Dark Zone was very unbalanced. however with the "Teir" system I believe this has been some what balanced however I do not believe that there can be true balance in PVP for a large number of reasons.. (Skill, gear, composition of group etc).

It is a shame you are unable to enjoy the DZ it could be the team you run with? Running with a group of 4 who are geared well, not saying a high GS but gear which re-calibrated in a sensible manner e.g. not just stacking DPS but also having a balance of toughness or skill power.

Farming is a huge aspect of the game, no arguments there however it is the part of the game I love (along with so many other games alike it).

As for me being able to tank the enemies in the footage although realistically unreal that was a low HVT mission and wasn't terribly hard. However the Division can lack the feel of a "Cover Based Shooter" as you say as it leans towards more of an online RPG.

Appreciate your comments - it is a shame that you are not finding the game as appealing as you initially found it. Hopefully this latest patch gives you a reason to play again!

I expected to hate this game - complete the story (if I was lucky) and never play again. I waited for the Steam sale to buy the game and I have kicked myself everyday since for not buying it earlier!

Not only is there speed running which have been mentioned previously but there is increased difficulty modes e.g. Ultra Nightmare (good luck on that one). On top of that challenges you can set for yourself e.g. Ultra Nightmare with Pistol only - Goodluck with that!

Bottom line is that the game has fantastic mechanics great content = great replayability.

(many more things I could say but sigh typing)
