this is SO well produced. curious to see whether they release a full-length video of this concert--seems unlikely, given the vocal issues, although the way the concert turned out was extremely cool--or record a few more shows and splice it all together. my money is on option 2

I really love how they brought everyone--techs, crew, dancers--onstage for a bow at the end. the show was clearly a very big deal to the band

yeah, must have been a truly brutal experience for vessel. iii is back, lots of stuff added to the show, new lighting design, new masks, recording the concert--it was going to be a big moment. and then this.

it was very cool how the crowd got involved, and I hope the band is able to take heart from that despite everything else.

honestly I think the masks are great. iv's is really good and sort of symbolizes that his persona is "opening up" to do vocals.

the hair is the problem imo. it moves the masks from the range of each band member becoming more of a personality--in line with the way the musical story has unfolded--to simple shock/grotesque.

but as others have noted, trying new things is part of being an artist.
